Torredembarra: A sea of possibilities

If you are looking for a beach that is simply spectacular, this is the place for you. Strolling through the last dunes and salt marshes after the Ebro delta is a delight for nature lovers. The charm of the winding alleyways of its old town and the charm of its buildings are just some of the attractions of this unique destination.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and sensory experiences, this is the perfect setting. This iconic town on the Costa Daurada is blessed with one of the few natural beaches on the coast, Els Muntanyans. La Paella also stands out for the quality of its sand and the clear, calm waters that caress its coastline. It preserves part of its old quarter, in which the Renaissance Castle belonging to the Icart family (now the Town Hall), the Defence Tower, the Church and picturesque streets of the diocechesque style stand out.

Tasting gastronomic pleasures is an added incentive that you should not forget. The gastronomic campaign "Ranxets, the cuisine in Torredembarra" will allow you to taste dishes that have always been a part of the diet of the inhabitants of Torredembarra for many generations, made with basic ingredients and products from the sea and the countryside, a real delight for all palates.

Cambrils

Cambrils is a paradise for the whole family. Discover this symbolic corner of the Costa Daurada, which is dotted with beaches that are ideal for the little ones. Almost 9 kilometres of peaceful waters, golden sand and a mild climate for most of the year.

Before you, a whole sea of opportunities: go sailing, go on a catamaran trip, enjoy peaceful boat or cycling excursions, enjoy the excellent gastronomy while you explore its most characteristic districts, la Vila i el Port... Surprising, dynamic, modern and joyful, hermitages, towers, guided tours, family entertainment and concerts complete the attractive cultural agenda of this charming corner of Tarragona.

La Serra de Montsant

It is located in the northern part of the Priorat region and is one of the most imposing reliefs in Tarragona. With an area of more than 9,200 ha, this massif is made up of a large block of limestone conglomerates with gorges, chasms, caves and grottoes formed by erosive phenomena over thousands of years. The highest peak is La Roca Corbatera, with 1,163 m of altitude. To climb to the summit of this mountain kingdom you can choose from a variety of natural passes, some relatively straightforward, along bridle paths, others extremely narrow, aerial and often breathtaking.

Man has maintained a spiritual relationship with Montsant for centuries. The first Carthusian monastery in the Iberian Peninsula, Scala Dei, was founded here, and since then it has preserved an intense tradition of hermitage. In 2002 it was declared a Natural Park by the Regional Government of Catalonia. The area around the Montsant river is of immeasurable richness, where mammals such as weasels, martens and wild cats can be found, as well as birds of prey such as the Bonelli's eagle that nests in the impressive cliffs.

This visual spectacle is rounded off by the vineyards of its fertile land and excellent wines with DOs such as Priorat and Montsant. In addition to these two labels, Montsant is known everywhere for its production of oil under the Protected Designation of Origin Siurana.

Salou

Salou was the first destination in Catalonia to obtain the certificate awarded by the Catalan Tourism Agency in 2003.

The great expanse, the fine golden sand and the shallow waters make the beaches of Salou a very safe experience for the whole family. Also worthy of note are the play areas (slides, swings...) located along the city's main beaches.

Finally, our location in such close proximity to the theme park, PortAventura World, makes us a leading destination for families in the whole of the Mediterranean.

El Vendrell

El Vendrell is certified with the quality seal "FAMILY BEACH", which has a range of accommodation, activity businesses and specialised restaurants for families. El Estany i del Riuet spring is located on the beach of Coma-ruga, in the municipality of El Vendrell (Baix Penedès). Nowadays, the water from the spring is channelled to an outdoor ornamental fountain, where it flows into the Estany and from there into the Riuet, which flows to the beach. Throughout the year it is common to see people of all ages bathing in the Riuet to take advantage of its curative properties. This feature and its shallow depth make the Riuet an ideal place for children and adults to enjoy balneotherapy activities in complete safety.

The Club Náutico de Coma-ruga offers a wide variety of nautical activities for the whole family to enjoy, such as: Paddle Surfing, Kayaking, sailing courses, etc. As well as boat hire.

The wetland area of Les Madrigueres is a coastal area of about 30 hectares, near the maritime centre of Sant Salvador del Vendrell. It is a small area, but with a diversity of habitats: sandy beaches and dunes, coastal lagoons with reed beds and rushes, Mediterranean scrubland and maquises with oak trees. Highlights include the presence of the kentish plover, a bird in serious decline, as well as the remains of seba (Cymodocea nodosa), a marine plant of great value due to its capacity to generate dunes. Near the beach, there is a Civil War bunker. Overall, it is an area of great environmental and scenic interest, because of its unique character in a totally urbanised coastal environment and its role as an ecological buffer zone between the sea, the countryside and the inland mountains.

The Fondo del Mata recreational area has an area fitted out with tables, seats and barbecues, as well as a surrounding area with fountains, benches, two small ponds, whose water is supplied by a mill, and various paths for going for a stroll. This allows its users to engage in a range of outdoor leisure activities.
