Nature

Benidorm is nature too. The Serra Gelada Natural Park and its coastal environment, which includes the bays of Benidorm and Altea and its four islets, is the perfect place for a day out in the country. Formed by impressive cliffs that are more than 200 metres high, it offers a total of five walking routes that cross the six-kilometre sierra from end to end, between native vegetation and rich fauna exemplified by protected birds such as the European storm petrel and the yellow-legged gull. The routes bring tourists closer to Punta del Cavall, passing through La Cruz, the crossing of the Serra Gelada, the climb to the television tower, and the Albir Lighthouse.

La Granadella

Mainly composed of rocks and gravel, this small semi-urban beach is 200 metres long, surrounded by pine trees and excellently suited to scuba diving.

Located on the southern slopes of Montgó, the beach has an excellent view of the majestic mountain which, seen from here, acquires a reddish hue with the spectacular sunrises of the Costa Blanca. The municipality has the strange geographical privilege of bringing the Gulf of Valencia to an end, giving way to one of the most beautiful segments of coast in the province of Alicante.
