Milan, Venice and Rome by train

Admire the incomparable beauty and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of three of Italy's most dynamic cities

Welcome to the city of Milan, the first stop of this wonderful trip and a true paradise for shopping lovers. Capital of fashion and design, it boasts a never-ending range of stores, artisan workshops, avant-garde outlets, showrooms and high-end boutiques. Make sure you take a leisurely stroll around the glamorous Quadrilatero d'Oro! Must-sees among Milan's architectural and artistic heritage include the Piazza del Duomo, with the incredible Cathedral; the Royal Palace and the entrance arch to the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery; the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which houses the priceless "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci; and the Teatro de La Scala, one of the most important opera houses in the world. And make sure you explore the bohemian and artistic Navigli, a buzzing waterfront area where great food, nightlife and a fantastic atmosphere are guaranteed. For art lovers, we wholeheartedly recommend the Brera district, with its spectacular Pinacoteca.

And then it's time for the quintessential 'all aboard' to cover the distance between Milan and the city of Venice. Sit back and admire the stunning scenery of bella Italia as it passes by the window.

Venice is one of the most famous cities and most popular tourist destinations on the planet thanks to its unmistakable canals criss-crossed by romantic gondolas. Its historic quarter, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, stands on a group of islands in the Venetian Lagoon and houses a priceless architectural and artistic heritage. Because Venice is the city of Piazza San Marco, the Palazzo Ducale, the Palazzo Ca 'd'Oro, the Basilica di San Marcos, and the Biblioteca Marciana, among many other treasures. It's one of those destinations that you have to visit at least once in your lifetime.

Known as the Eternal City, Rome is the next and last stop on your train journey. It’s an authentic open-air museum that fuses the beauty of ancient times with the attractions of Renaissance, Baroque and modern Rome. Stroll through its historic centre - declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO - and discover some of the most impressive monuments of ancient Rome. Among its classic treasures are the Colosseum and the Pantheon, a building that changed the course of world architecture. Another of our recommendations is to walk along the Via dei Fori Imperiali and admire the forums of Caesar, Augustus and Trajan. Much of the appeal of Rome lies in its magnificent squares, such as Piazza Venezia, Campidoglio, Popolo, Piazza della Rotondo, Minerva, and - of course - Piazza Spagna, with its fabulous steps. It's also home to the Vatican City and its Sistine Chapel, the legendary Fontana di Trevi, the Castel Sant'Angelo, the Villa Borghese, and the Capitoline Museums. Rome is simply stunning, thanks to its endless treasures.
