“Helpful staffs from the residences”

Ms.Phung & Ms.Van, was very helpful when I was staying in this residence. They always gave me advice where to have nice food and direction whenever i need to visits. They are very cheerful and polite and that make me feel like home. Thank you to both of them.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Residences for a week in a two bedroom apartment. It was very well appointed with plenty of space for our family of four. The apartment gets serviced every day. The only thing we couldn’t use in the Hotel was the pool but the Residences have their own pool. All of the staff were very friendly. My daughter got sick and the staff were very caring. The breakfast is a very short walk across to the Hotel and was fantastic. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel Yu Chu was also amazing and good value compared to Australia.

“Excellent service and location”

In July 2024 my family stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment on the top floor at the Intercontinental Saigon Residences. The apartment was gorgeous and spacious, though unfortunately we had a bad leak in the master bedroom due to rain water leaking in from the roof. They moved us to a smaller but still totally fine 3 bedroom apartment a few floors down. Having to move all our things was inconvenient - they apologized and offered us club floor benefits at the hotel side. It was a nice gesture and we appreciated it, though it was likely they knew about the leaking issue and took a gamble that it might not rain while we were there. They mentioned that they can have someone get on the roof to vacuum the water away, but the issue would repeat if it rained again, and when Intercontinental gets rebranded as JW Marriott in September 2024 they would be doing a refurbishment at that time. With respect to the location, being across the street from Book Street was fun, and having M Plaza right there was very convenient (water, coffee, a good bank ATM with no fees, etc). Being able to walk through M Plaza to get to the hotel side was also very convenient since no exposure to heat and rain. I might even prefer this location to what I think is generally considered the "better" location around the Park Hyatt. The hotel breakfast was truly amazing, and the staff on the hotel side was exceptional. They always remembered my husband was gluten free and prepared him special meals each day. As for me, I was on crutches and the staff really bent over backwards to help - from carrying my breakfast items for me, to communicating with me over email before arrival about my various questions and request for the room. Bottom line: it was a great stay overall. Assuming the hotel does get revamped, I would have no issue staying here again in the future. However, if it was just a change of name, I would be cautious about staying on the very top floor. I should also note that there was a mosquito in our bedroom every night, even after we moved to the one without the leak, and I (being incredibly delicious to bugs) did get a new bite or two every night. Again, something hopefully the refurbishment would take care of if it does happen.
