It's convinient place to stay for bussines trip when you in hanoi, the room is spacious, complete amenities, reception is very profesional and helpful, location is near to westlake. i stay there for bussines trip for 3 days 2 night, and service is very amazing. Equipment is a little bit old. I would very recommend you to stay on westlake hanoi for bussines trip when you stay in hanoi, studio premier is also a very recommended room to stay in. The swimming pool is okay but just not really safe for kids as nobody guard and watch there like in somerset grand hanoi. But if you adult and alone or a couple without kids then everything is perfect. The hotel is located on foreigner area tayho with many bar and restaurant, local food it just accross the street from the hotel. The room itself comes without breakfast, so not much i can tell you. The hotel and service is realy 5 star, good service, and helpfull staff. Its very recommended to stay in somerset west lake for bussines trip in hanoi.

We recently visited Hanoi with my group of 5 families and we booked 4 one bedroom apartment and one 2 bedroom apartment. First things their RECEPTION staff was best ever staff we have ever seen in any hotel across the globe.Always smiling and ready to help weather its related with booking or calling a taxi or enquiry about any random place. Check in was super quick and we were in room in just 5 min after reaching at reception. Room were actually one bedroom apartment type with one bedroom and one full kitchen and drawing area. Kitchen was fully functional with hot plate, coffe maker, fridge and washing machine. One dining table with 4 chairs avaible in room. Room service is fast and cleaning was perfect. They have one Japanese restaurant so we didnot eat much in breakfast but for dinner we ordered food from outside and they provide us full curterly for that. We went to Halong bay.for one day they kept our luggage in their store room for 1 day without any additional charges. Vietnamese people are soft spoken and very well behaved and same reflected in this hotel staff. Vieq from every room was awesome as you can see west lake directly from your balcony. I am fully satisfied with hotel location, staff behavior, kids play area and Cleaniness. Only downside is not much food available for breakfast for vegetarians.

“Excellent value service apartments”

The good news - the 2bedroom apartment was excellent value - clean, spacious and well laid out. We did have to get a technician in to sort out a noisy aircon (old unit) - but this was done promptly without fuss. A huge bottle of drinking water (same size of those for water coolers) is provided - and we definately appreciated this. The apartment is also very quiet and well soundproofed. We were very happy with the apartment - excellent value accomodation wise. Customer service was OK. We interacted with three different staff and the a staff at the buffet breakfast. The three counter staff could speak good English - we had difficulty with the lady at the buffet breakfast who spoke little English. Overall service level was OK but not the best. I found that the service from the doorman the excellent - a smile and a greeting when opening the doors. Although the staff were polite, we never felt the warmth that we experienced from other Vietnamese hotels (we have stayed at a range of 4* and 5* accomodation). For example, when trying to figure out where to eat dinner, talking to the counter staff was like talking to a polite chatbot - you had to ask exactly the right question to get a helpful response. Do note that the gynm is very small - it was smaller than our apartmeent. With the 3 of us in the gym, we found it rather squeezy. It is airconditioned though and towels and water are provided. We did not use the pool. The UGLY: The hotel provides the option of a buffet breakfast at VND346500/pax (about USD 14.50 ) - which we opted for. This is served in the inhouse Japanese restaurant. You have to choose a Japanese main course from two options - and you have access to a (tiny) breakfast buffet. However, I would not recommend the breakfast - its very poor value for money and the food provided is not of a good quality standard. Not the best tastewise either. When we were told one of our main courses was not avaialble (we were there at 8am at an empty restaurant) - my wife remarked that the option of Japanese main course appeared to depend on what was leftover unsold from the previous night at the restaurant. The provided coffee was so awful that I found that the 3-in-1 premix tasted better. See the attached picture for the (tiny) range of buffet options on offer. Again , strongly recommend you avoid the breakfast buffet. The overall exterior doesn't appear to have been maintained for years. Of course this could be due to air pollution. This didn't impact our stay materially though - although it could be an eyesore for others. The hotel is well situated and West Lake is easily accessible through the hotel back gate. Its also 15min away to Lotte Metropolis via Grab cab. In summary, we enjoyed the apartment stay - but dreaded the morning breakfast. Overall - still recommended for excellent value and location though.

We only had one-night booking with a studio, Lake View. The hotel was old, small and old elevator. The studio was spacious but seemed like it was cleaned a long time ago before we got in. Everything in the room is old and dusty. The receptionist is funny, quick and helpful. The security officer outside the lobby was super nice.
