Hotel was not perfect for what we needed as a short break stay in Hanoi Quan in reception was a star and nothing was too much trouble, he gave us some great tips and knew when the rain was coming😁 The rooms were tidy and although basic had everything we needed including an umbrella! Breakfast excellent and a good choice of fresh food, we could enjoy bacon eggs and sausages which was great 👍 Would definitely recommend to anyone on a short staycation Andy

This is a nice French colonial style hotel in a great location within a relatively quiet street in the French Quarter. Some nearby roads were closed to traffic in the evening which made for pleasant evening strolls. We were fortunate enough to have a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the street which was nice to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom has a transparent panel dividing it from the living area, so you could sit on the balcony and wave to your partner sat on the toilet, I wouldn't recommend that but of course you can pull the shower curtain across for privacy, albeit a little quirky it's not a problem. Only small negative was the bath is a little high to step into and the ceiling is low in the bathroom, my head almost touching the ceiling while using the shower. The staff are very good and overall we had a great stay here.

“Mixed feelings”

Location - Excellent. Extremely close to a high end part of town with fancy hotels and shops. Only a 5m Grab or 25m walk to the touristy areas as well. Room - Fine. A bit dated but clean. Not a lot of bathroom amenities but conveniently near the elevator. Noise - Very quiet. A plus. Restaurant - Sm… more

Location - Excellent. Extremely close to a high end part of town with fancy hotels and shops. Only a 5m Grab or 25m walk to the touristy areas as well. Room - Fine. A bit dated but clean. Not a lot of bathroom amenities but conveniently near the elevator. Noise - Very quiet. A plus. Restaurant - Small but plenty of decent eats are included. Room service is quick and the pho is great. Service - There is only a front desk person here, which means that service requests were generally slow. Issues: -There isn't an ironing board inside the room. I requested one twice; it never arrived until the next day when I had to go downstairs in person to beg for it. -I had sweat through my suit, and I specifically requested (and double checked with a translation app) that they use the special dry cleaning solution for liquid stains/sweat. They called the laundry service who said they would wash it. I said that wasn't on the tag's instructions (or common sense since it's a wool suit) but they insisted it would be alright. When I was able to try on the suit about 1.5 days later, having left the hotel to travel to another country, they said the laundry service informed them I had followed up in 24 hours. The suit was late arriving to my room, and I had a flight to catch, but the hotel wasn't able to resolve this on my behalf, and I had to not only eat the cost of the dry cleaning, but also the cost of a nearly $1,000 suit. This situation was unacceptable and a reason to never come back.

The hotel is in a good location to walk to most attractions close by, the area is also quieter for a good nights sleep in Hanoi, sadly that’s only relevant to the outside of the hotel as we could hear people talking, working and moving around outside our door, along with hearing the flushing of next doors toilet also. The staff were great, friendly, approachable and willing to answer any questions, so this review has no relation to them as they were brilliant. Breakfast was limiting if you didn’t want hot food, but they had good coffee! Convenient but that’s about it….
