This is a good hotel pretty close to airport. We used the Park, Stay & Fly package with included shuttle. The hotel was adequate for our needs. Restaurant was on site and we were able to get a cocktail and light meal without going out. Recommend the Chowder! The room was ok, a few missteps, faucet was loose, no body wash in dispenser, but nothing major. There was noise in the hallway at night, so don’t book a room too close to the elevator. Shuttle service was great very prompt. Only thing, we wish we knew they had coffee service in the lobby, we made do with the in room but would have made the trip down. Would consider if using Bradley again.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy staying at the different properties across the portfolio. A weekend trip to Windsor Locks via train and Uber brought me to this property. It had also been a while since I had stayed at a Doubletree. As I always do, I checked in and chose my room digitally the day before arrival. When I got there, while I could have gone directly to my room with the digital key, I decided to stop by the desk first to obtain my spring water and obligatory cookie. I found the desk personnel to be friendly and welcoming. I was also given a plastic key just in case the digital key might let me down (it didn't). Throughout my stay I only saw one of the two elevators working -- this was a minus for the stay as it elongated the wait. Being on the top (5th) floor meant often making stops at other floors on the way up or down. I had received an "upgrade" for my Diamond status, but it was simply a room with a sofabed. I fail to see how a person travelling alone would benefit from a pull-out bed in the room when they already have a real king-size bed there. The room was ample sized, and enough space for my belongings. TV & WiFi worked well. Climate control was a little tricky on a fall evening where the temperature outside was supposed to plummet after a warm day. It was hard to find a happy medium to the temperature within the room. Bathroom had plenty counter space, and no issues with hot water in the shower. Breakfast was skipped since I did not opt to use my $15 credit and was short on time to get my Uber and return to the Old Saybrook train station and eventually home. Many places to eat in the area, walkable by continuous sidewalks. There is a large parking lot (airport park & ride) next to the hotel, but I was not bothered by any car noise thru the night.

“Nice upgrade missing a few things.”

Recent upgrade. I have not been here for about eight months. I was surprised to find they had an update on the hotel. Recent upgrade. I have not been here for about eight months. I was surprised to find they had an update on the hotel. The update looks nice, except for seeing the refrigerator on the floor - come on, find a place to put it or get a table. The new floating flooring and scatter rug look great. No Diamond upgrade! Two other issues were the phone did not work in the room. The plug did not fit into the phone, why put a phone in for show, do it right and fix this issue. Next, there is no alarm clock; what gives with no alarm clock? Therefore, there are three areas they need to fix: Put the refrigerator in so you don't need to kneel on the floor to reach it, put phones that work in the room, and put alarm clocks in the room.
