The location was ideal for busch gardens. The breakfast area was super crowded. I kept getting followed around and stopped by the African American lady that does breakfast everutime I tried to get food at the hot breakfast station and I waited in line to get food for a while. She was pretty rude to us guests and wouldn't even say excuse me but that we were all in her way. The other lady with the brown hair was really nice and refilled the milk for my son. There is very limited seating for breakfast and we spent most of breakfast having other people cough all over our food. So we ended up taking it up to our room. The dining area is getting a little run down. I think it would help be less crowded if they put the waffle stuff next to the juice. There's a line to get waffles and u can't even get to the hot food because there's so many people in the way. It would be nice to change the layout a bit that makes sense if there's going to be a ton of lines. It was very surprising to not to have microwaves or fridges in all the rooms.

The room was ok except there was no fridge or microwave. Every Hampton Inn we have stayed in has those things in it. We asked when we were leaving why these things weren’t in there, the answer was you have to order them and they will bring them to your room. The king rooms have them but the other rooms do not. The breakfast bar needs to be rearranged. The plates and plastic ware were in a corner between the food. You had to step in front of someone to get them. The room wasn’t big enough to accommodate so many people. We won’t be staying at this particular hotel again.

“Underwhelmed - there are better places to stay”

Furniture , drapes and carpet seem original to its 2009 build. Hallway carpets have been refreshed. Although clean - very dated! If you want a smoking room they have them. Furniture , drapes and carpet seem original to its 2009 build. Hallway carpets have been refreshed. Although clean - very dated! If you want a smoking room they have them. If you book a smoking room by accident be prepared to battle for a non-smoking room. There are other properties in the area at the same pricepoint and better! Not sure why the ratings on this website seem so favorable for this hotel.

“Didn't Go So Well”

This stay was not one of my memorable experiences. I used the Hilton app to check-in online the day before my arrival. I selected the earliest time available for check-in which was 3pm. When I arrive in town the next day, I kill time, waiting for my room to be ready via the Hilton app. At 3pm, it states we are still preparing your room (not sure how they don't have the room ready when they knew 32 hours in advance about when I would arrive). I use the Message service in the Hilton app and ask the hotel when my room would be ready. No response! I message them again at 3:20pm, again, no response! I finally arrive at the hotel at 4pm and go to the front desk to find out why my room wasn't ready and why they don't respond to direct messages. The lady looked up my name and said the room still wasn't ready and stated they did not receive any direct messages on their system. Pretty bad when you offer a service like the direct messaging and it doesn't work. She did put me in another room, directly across from the one I requested when I did my on-line check-in. Upon entering, the people in the room next to me (it was a connecting room) were extremely loud and we could hear everything. I shrugged it off, hoping the would quite down later. My family and I left to go out for dinner. Upon arriving back at room around 9pm, we walk in and there is a strong, overpowering odor of marijuana in the room. Apparently, the guests next to us, who were still extremely loud decided to do some smoking and the odor leaked into our room (I'm guessing through the connecting room door). We went down to the front desk and explained what was happening and were moved to another room after having to pack everything up to move. The rest of the stay was uneventful. I did want to compliment and praise the lady who checked us in, Tina. She was very apologetic and did everything to make the best of a not so good situation. She is an exceptional employee. I realize the hotel cannot police what all of their guests do but the fact that I ended up in that room to begin with was because they did not have my requested room ready for my requested check-in time, even with 32 hour advance notice. As far as the room, very spacious, along with the bathroom. It does have the smallest tv screen I have seen in several years though. Overall, lots of hotel choices in Williamsburg and lots of Hilton choices (I am a Diamond member) and I think I'll be looking at a different Hilton property during my next visit.
