Wonderful water pressure, which translates to an awesome shower. Huge breakfast room and buffet. I must say that the staff was fabulous throughout the hotel. Great location. I would definitely stay here again when I return to town.

Well located and well maintained property in easy walking distance of the museums on the Mall and of the Federal Center SW Metro station. Excellent free hot breakfast with one helpful staff person (01/15/2025) clearing plates as soon as you emptied them. Great front desk help with our tight schedule (Thanks, Tracy!). Quite useable kitchen. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

“I’d stay again”
It’s so close to the national mall. The breakfast was amazing (crazy busy at certain times—try to avoid between 8:30 and 9). It’s so close to the national mall. The breakfast was amazing (crazy busy at certain times—try to avoid between 8:30 and 9). Each day the breakfast had the usuals like eggs and sausage, pancakes/ready made waffles, but alternated other things like biscuits and sausage gravy, grits, breakfast hash and the most delish Mac and cheese. Each day there was salad too, which I appreciated, along with standard things like bagels, muffins and cereals. The staff were lovely and kind. We got the basic studio suite and it was nice having a little kitchen and our kids slept on the pull out and we had the king bed. The kitchen has a stovetop and microwave but not an oven. There’s a full sized fridge and dish washer and all the plates, bowls, cookware etc you’d need. After a full day out, it was nice some nights to have something simple in the room. The kids liked the indoor pool. It was a bit busy, but lots of kids stayed there.

“Chocked full of families, decent beds and sleep”
Our family of 6 (2 parents, 2 boys age 11 and 14, and 2 grandparents) had 2 rooms for 4 nights. I stay in Residence Inns frequently for work. Our family of 6 (2 parents, 2 boys age 11 and 14, and 2 grandparents) had 2 rooms for 4 nights. I stay in Residence Inns frequently for work. This one was one of the least stocked and most bare bones version I’ve stayed in. It is very popular with families and the breakfast area was overwhelmed. The staff (all very nice) cannot keep up with the demand - and food runs out. The food choices were fairly decent and more options are available than many hotel chains. Finding seats is difficult any time after 8:15. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. They come stocked with minimal blankets and pillows but we were able to get more from the front desk. The kitchen had very little cookware so it would have been difficult to do any basic meal prep and cooking. Our boys had no interest in going into the tiny pool that was completely full of little kids. Overall the location is very good for sight seers. Close to L’enfant or Metro subway stations and a 15 minute walk to the Mall. I probably wouldn’t stay there again but if you need affordable family lodging this will suffice.
