Life isn’t perfect but it is how you manage the imperfections that is most important. In my situation, after traveling nearly 24 hours, I was looking forward to a hot shower and a good rest. Unfortunately- my room was not available and the only room the hotel could offer at that time was a room with a couch/pullout bed. I was livid. Things happen for whatever reason, so I took a pause from my would-be anger and asked the hotel staff how they would resolve this matter. The hotel acknowledged the mistake. More importantly- They solved it by having me stay at another property for the evening and the hotel paid for my ground transportation and hotel room. The transition to the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City was perfect and the staff were waiting for me. The following day, I was returned back to the Grand Hyatt in DC. My room was ready. After many apologies and a complimentary access to their lounge - I knew this is the Hyatt way. The professionalism from both staff from the Grand Hyatt DC and Hyatt Regency Crystal City was outstanding and well coordinated. For the staff from the Grand Hyatt DC - Thank you Tresor for making arrangements to stay the night at the Hyatt Regency at no cost. Many thanks to Fidelina and Christina for making sure my room was ready when I returned. For the staff at the Hyatt Regency Crystal- thank you to Kristina West, You did everything right. “Beautiful”

Beautiful clean and safe. Excellent location. Breakfast was WAY to expensive to eat at the hotel. There is a Starbucks Reserve in the hotel, and an amazing local coffee shop approximately one minute up walking distance up the road. Good times by all

“Excellent Location and Club Lounge”

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect if you want to see all of the DC sights-it is an easy walk to the National Mall and most Smithsonian museums. We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was perfect if you want to see all of the DC sights-it is an easy walk to the National Mall and most Smithsonian museums. We only needed to use public transportation to and from the airport. The room was nice and clean and we were able to get a roll away cot for our son. The very best part of our stay though, was the Club Lounge. If you are able to get a room with Club Access, I strongly recommend it. The staff in the lounge were top-notch; especially Mei. The breakfasts and evening snacks were tasty and labeled well for food allergies. One downside of this hotel was the lack of restaurant variety. There is really only one restaurant in the hotel, which was a sushi restaurant. Not a lot of choices that were kid friendly. If we wouldn’t have had access to the lounge, we would’ve been disappointed. We also had an issue on check in. I reserved a room that was clearly labeled a “King with Club Access”. Listed in the description were complimentary breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres. When we checked in, I inquired about the Club Lounge hours and was told we were in a room on the club floor but did not have access to the lounge. I had to argue with the person at the counter and show my confirmation email. Eventually we were given access to the lounge. This wasn’t a super pleasant experience and it seems like registration staff should be better informed. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

“Wonderful hotel with minor problems”

We are a couple who stayed at this lovely hotel in October 2024 and let's say straight away that it is a super nice hotel. The staff is smiling, friendly and helpful. We are a couple who stayed at this lovely hotel in October 2024 and let's say straight away that it is a super nice hotel. The staff is smiling, friendly and helpful. Our room newly renovated, clean and extremely inviting. Club access worked flawlessly and the range of food items there is inviting. The staff at the Grand Club is fantastic. But why not five stars then? Because 1. There are almost no drawers in the room. We never got to unpack because there was no room for our belongings. 2. The Wi-fi worked badly with many outages. The staff tried to help, but it didn't turn out well. 3. US$ 95 for two glasses of red wine in the Grand Club is maybe a little too much - when you state at the same time that wine in the club is sold at a reduced price. To be fair we must say that the staff warned us and that the the wine was good.
