Excellent experience. It started off a bit shaky, they first tried to put us in a Building overlooking a construction pile of dirt. I believe 70s block. Luckily I saw a map and asked for a different location. They were able to find me a lake view room in the 60s. 100% better. The Unit itself was huge, clean and nicely updated. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. All the dishes and kitchen equipment appeared to be brand new and good quality. A lot of the furniture looked new too. The laundry room was bright with new appliances. The only rooms that could use some updating were the master bedroom and the bathrooms. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the open bedroom/bath concept. It felt icky to me. The outdoor patio was the highlight. It was so relaxing and nice to eat meals. Oddly the unit did not have a full-length mirror, just half mirrors. The grounds are beautiful. The boats are fun. Pools are great. The staff is wonderful. Lots of activities going on. You’ll see the resident cats and some wildlife. It is located in a quiet area but close to parks, restaurants and shopping. There isn’t much within walking distance. A car is needed. I was approached twice about the Vacation Club but easy to politely decline. You do feel like you are on vacation here. It is a quieter experience than the Amusement Park hotels. I enjoyed it and would return.

“Amazing”

Holy moly this was a great stay! Don’t look any further. The resort is well taken care of. The rooms are huge and well kept. Plenty of space and a great enclosed patio balcony for each room. Holy moly this was a great stay! Don’t look any further. The resort is well taken care of. The rooms are huge and well kept. Plenty of space and a great enclosed patio balcony for each room. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are wonderful. They were always looking to be helpful and pleasant. There are several activity areas and pools. Great location near most amusement parks. I’d return here in a blink. On a side note, I’m a hotel snob and I almost never would give a 5 star rating. But today I have. This was a top notch resort that I’d come back to over and over again.

“Another fab stay but a lot of construction work happening”

This was our second stay at Marriott Cypress suites having enjoyed our stay two years ago we decided to rebook. We stayed for three night's at the end of our two week Florida trip. We love the space that these rooms have, two bedrooms means our Daughter get's her own room, and having the enclosed balcony means you can also enjoy some outdoor air rather than just being confined to an indoor hotel room. Upon check in we were assigned a room in block 75 however. As much of the hotel, this room directly overlooked an active building site with lots of heavy duty diggers etc which we didn't like r want to be disturbed by so we called reception and were able to move to block 64. This was rather frustrating as I don't understand why we were put in the furthest block away directly facing construction works when they clearly had other rooms available. So we had to repack the luggage back in to the car, drive back to reception, and queue up again to get a different room key. Luckily we were still on the top floor, which although also overlooking works, didn't appear to be any activity and you did still have the lake and fountains in the background. During check in we were offered a $250 local gift card if we attended a presentation on Marriott timeshare however I politely but firmly declined as this is not something we are interested in and I wasn't willing to waste what was left of our vacation time on something we had no interest in. Accomodation comprises of two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom, a utility room with washer / dryer, a fully-stocked kitchen space, with 3 chair breakfast bar, dining table to seat 4 people, 3 seater & 2 seater sofa and single chair, a desk and large TV. There is also a lovely enclosed outdoor space with a table seating four people. Master bedroom is huge comprising of a Chair, King bed, Chest of Drawers with TV, wardrobe with safe, huge two seated deep jetted bath tub, double sinks / vanity area, shower and separate toilet. Beds and bedding are extremely comfortable and we all slept really well during our three night stay. This place is a resort, there's a full schedule of weekly activities, some free, some with an extra charge. We hired the pickleball set and shuffleboard set both of which were free and enjoyed playing those. A timetable of all events is provided at check in. Pool area are well tended, and regularly cleaned, plenty of pool loungers both in and out of shade. After a long day at Discovery cove we ordered takeaway pizzas from the Outdoor grill one evening, both were extremely tasty but we underestimated the size and probably should have just ordered one between us. For the money, this hotel is great value, especially given the sheer size of the accomodation and the setting and activities which it offers.
