This was my family and I second time staying here at this property. Very clean and spacious rooms for big families like mine. The awesome hospitality and customer service from the time we checked in, is the best. The young man named Jah, checked us in and made us feel welcomed. He's a very respectful young man which will take him a long way in life. I went to the front desk to ask questions and needed to extend our stay another night. The young lady Tatiana and the manager Mike was very helpful and went beyond to make sure my family and I was settled and all my questions was answered. I actually remember Mike from our first stay with them. He was great then and resolved the issue we had. Too bad he can't manage every resort in the state of Florida. He's the best and understand his assignments as a manager. Which will make guests like myself return back and even recommend this resort to others. Blessings to the entire staff. Thank you and we will definitely be back again!

Apologies for this long overdue review, I hope this will still be of benefit for travellers looking to book this resort for holidays to Orlando in the near future. I stayed at the Floridays Holiday Resort with my wife and adult daughter from 20 June to 28 June 2024; this was our first visit to Orlando since 2004; Our trip was back in June but for us it still seems like yesterday as we have very fond memories of our stay at Floridays. The Floridays Resort was suggested by one of our Travel Agents (previously we had stayed at other properties on International Drive) and we were persuaded to book the Grand 2 Bedroom Suite as it looked spacious with 2 separate bed rooms, 2 double beds, an open plan lounge/kitchen area, 2 separate bathrooms and a balcony with views of the lake and swimming pool at the back of the property. The suite came with a dining table/chairs, sofas, TVs, storage units for clothes, a massive fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, washing machine and dish washer, although we did not use the latter two appliances. We were provided a kettle on request. The bathrooms had working showers, and the larger bathroom even had a hot tub/jacuzzi that unfortunately we never had time to use; although I did have a hot bath to rest my tired feet after a long day at the Theme Parks. We stayed on a Room Only basis , therefore we bought and stored food from the nearby supermarkets, which enabled us to cook our own breakfasts each morning and in the evenings we ordered takeaways (through Uber Eats) or room service. We did consider staying on Disney Property with its advantages of regular free transport to the Parks and hotel amenities but we preferred the larger living space and flexibility of buying our own food and the Floridays Resort is reasonably close to all the Disney Parks. On this trip we had chosen not to hire a car and relied on Uber and taxi transfers from the airport and this turned out to be a wise and economical decision. To be honest, we were a little concerned by several very negative reviews for this resort on Trip Advisor but we watched some YouTube Videos and decided to take a chance as we anticipated that we would not be impacted by slightly dated or tired décor and hoped that we would get a room where all the facilities worked? On arrival we were checked in by the very pleasant Mayli and allocated Room 407 in Block F which was a considerable walk away from reception and main swimming pool/bar and restaurant; but had the advantage of being very quiet. We got a buggy ride by the very helpful Robert to our block and the resort facilities were pointed out during our ride and we were advised that we could make use of the buggy (if available) anytime if we were too tired to walk to our room. The Positives Very spacious suite with plenty of space for three people and my daughter could have her own private space and own bathroom. It really felt like a home from home, with the only negative being that we got too comfortable and lazy in the mornings, delaying our entry to the Parks! Fortunately all the facilities such as Showers, Air Con, Kitchen appliances and TVs all worked fine during our stay. The smoke alarm was faulty and kept beeping but after we reported this to reception, an Engineer was dispatched promptly to replace it. We had downloaded the Uber App on our Mobiles and this was very convenient for transport to and from the Parks, Outlets, Disney Springs or restaurants (such as Red Lobster which we highly recommend). We even ordered Pizza and Panda Express via Uber Eats which was delivered to our Block or Reception. The main swimming pool is excellent and heated and is open until late into the evening. There is a bar and restaurant on site offering a limited selection of pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and Mexican food. A small shop area where you buy ice cream, confectionery and swimming outfits. Outside the resort front entrance we walked across the road to a retail area, which had a large Publix Supermarket, a Seven Eleven, Subway and a few beauty treatment places. Unfortunately I developed tendonitis in my feet, so the walk in the Florida Heat was painful for me, but normally it would be ok; also the Pharmacist takes a long lunch break if you wished to speak to him. We found everything we needed for breakfast / snacks in Publix and the Pharmacy (Walgreens), such as bread, eggs, milk, ham, fruit juices and coke; as well as useful items such as sun hats, caps and ponchos which came in handy during the odd tropical downpours at the parks. Prices were quite high to be fair and there are cheaper supermarkets (such as Aldi) nearby but you would need a car. A car would have been useful to transport the groceries back to the resort but we somehow managed between the three of us. The Staff at the Resort were all friendly and helpful; special mention to Mayli (from Ecuador) who was always very pleasant, checked us in and sorted out our ‘dodgy’ room keys; Taniris and Mary-Lou at Reception who answered our queries, Mary-Lou even drove the buggy one day; Johanna who helped with the Epcot Shuttle booking and Robert who was always cheerful and gave us rides on his buggy multiple times from reception to our block, very welcome after a tiring day at the parks. We utilised the free transport to Epcot, only day we had an early start; the lady driver on the way was friendly and we were happy to tip; but there was a long wait for the return transport; driver played 80’s Music very loudly on return journey! Slight Negatives Not everything was perfect; although the dining table was sturdy and of good quality, other furniture such as storage units looked ‘tired’ and the doors were chipped and would not fully close. The electronic door keys were temperamental and did not work first time. The toilets seemed to fill up continuously and were noisy but the flush always worked. We were lucky that most of the facilities such as Air/Con , showers, kitchen appliances all worked fine during our stay. Our block was a considerable walk from the main entrance but we could ask for a buggy ride at reception which was available most of the time. The bar and restaurant area next to the pool was a great place to chill but due to the high prices, we ate there only occasionally. Conclusion / Summary Based on our experience I would happily recommend Floridays for a stay in Orlando, it is not luxury accommodation (classed as 3 Star) but if you overlook the slight negatives it offers plenty of space and flexibility and felt very homely. It is close to the Disney Parks (but quite far for Universal) and conveniently located close to a Supermarket, Pharmacy and a Premium Shopping Outlet offering great prices. As mentioned previously, the helpful and welcoming staff is a big positive, the reception area is pleasant, the swimming pool/bar area is a great place to unwind; despite my injured feet which was very unfortunate, we will always have fond memories of our stay and if we ever return to Orlando, we would definitely consider staying here again.

This could be a very nice place to stay BUT the floors were filthy. My feet the first night were black and I mean black. I wore shoes the other 6. The dressers in both bedrooms would not stay closed. The master bath had mildew growing in the shower. I helped them with that with a Target run and a sponge. And several lamps and ceiling fans were rusted. Needs a heavy duty cleaning around there and spruced up a little bit. It was quiet enough and the beds were comfortable enough but clean it up Floridays. Those floors were disgusting 🤢 m
