“Best breakfast in town”

Thanks to Donna at breakfast who makes me feel like I am the only customer in the world. And my compliments to the chef! Beyond that, I’m not sure why this review has to be a minimum of 200 characters so I’ll just wrap up by saying that the bacon was also great.

I have been staying here for the last 5 or 6 years and it never disappoints me. It starts with reserved spaces for IHG Platinum members. Next, a free beer at the check in desk. Next, I’m always upgraded to a very nice true suite. Always good service at the restaurant, with pretty good food. The amazing thing is the rooms I get don’t seem to show any wear and tear. It also is a very easy on and off from route 10. It really is one of the best IHG properties that I’ve stayed in.

Great place. Wonderful staff and comfortable and very clean and love the great food here. Worth every penny. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Nice pool. Easy to get to FSU. Lots of eating options nearby.

My best friend, his 97 yo mom's caregiver and only child, became critically ill and died unexpectedly. I made an unplanned trip to Tallahassee to care for his yo mom--during a threatening Cat III-IV hurricane. The Holiday Inn staff was incredibly kind, compassionate and professional and the management even cut me a rate break and squeezed us into the fully booked hotel because of the dire circumstances. The room was immaculate and kept that way throughout our stay. The bed was heaven. My friend's mother was devastated, anxious and frightened and the housekeeping staff went out of their way to reassure her. The desk clerks offered condolences and assistance when she needed extra help--without being asked. Stressed and exhausted, I had no less than three accidents (tripping over the fireplace and spilling coffee and juice all over the lobby carpet, scraping the paint off the door with a wicker laundry basket, dropping a coffee cup on the carpet), all of which were dealt without fuss. I suffered a minor injury when I tripped and the staff was not only solicitous but called later to check that I was okay. They also seemed truly concerned, as opposed to just going through the motions for liability reasons. The breakfast buffet cost $1, plus extra for juice, and was absolutely fantastic--fresh fruit, perfectly cooked eggs and bacon, an assortment of pastries and muffins, and wonderful coffee. However, I do wish that there had been a gluten free muffin or pastry offering. But the best thing about the buffet was the staff, all of whom were kind and professional and helpful--despite a shocking amount of rudeness from some of the guests. I saw Allie, then working the register, and Tiffany, then working the front desk, manage one irate customer who was so rude and abusive that I felt like gagging him! Shana and Tiffany helped me when I fell and Allie and Tiffany both gave me advice on how to get around Tallahassee and offered encouragement when I felt overwhelmed. Thank you to all the Holiday Inn staff for making an absolutely horrible situation much more bearable with your compassion, kindness and care.
