We stayed here for a graduation and the location was centrally located and convenient to our plans for the time we were in Tallahassee. Our initial impression was not great; the digital key didn’t work and even after getting a physical key card the door was still temperamental. Fortunately, one morning, when attempting to access the room, a staff member was in the hall, and they suggested lifting the handle not down; it opens every time. We had a suite so there was a living area and a bedroom, the coffee table in the living area was very sticky and when a newspaper was placed there the newspaper stuck and had to be ripped from the table. The suite had two small televisions, and I would estimate they were both about 32”. The microwave in the room was equally miniscule and when attempting to pop popcorn it burnt because the bag could not rotate inside. The air-conditioning kept the room comfortable, but the ceiling showed dust particles in a trail from the vents in the living area and the bedroom. The pool was closed for the entirety of our stay as well. The living area also had a ceiling fan, which isn’t common in hotels but is nice to have in a Florida hotel. I wished there was a fan in the bedroom as well. The staff was friendly and helpful although I was puzzled when I requested additional water bottles on our second day and the staff member at the front desk informed me that the complementary water is only available upon arrival and subsequent bottles of water would need to be purchased. I did use the WIFI for work when I was there; I didn’t notice latency and I didn’t lose my connection when working and we didn’t notice any issues when streaming video to our devices, so it was sufficient for our needs. I would add that the ethernet connection at the desk did not work. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were standard-sized and worked as expected. If you are coming to sleep, this might be all you are worried about. Overall, I would give the hotel a 3 out of 5 stars. The location made up for some of the disappointments of the hotel.
