What an amazing stay we had at this gem of a hotel in downtown Stamford. My husband had a surgery scheduled at The Hospital for Special Surgeries and we were concerned about making it on time from our residence in New York State and then driving back afterwards so we opted to book two nights here. All I can say is it was the best decision we could have ever made. We were greeted by Sanju and guided through the check in process. We were treated so well and were given extra special love because we had our two little pets Mimi and Baxter with us (dogs that we consider children). The room was fantastic for our needs. It was quite large and very clean! It had a microwave and small refrigerator. There was a large screen TV, couch, chair and separate area for the bathroom which was nice when the lights were on and I didn’t disturb my husband the second evening we were there and he was recovering after his surgery. I must mention again the room was very clean and up to date. The breakfast included in the stay was unexpectedly good. There was a choice of Eggs, sausage, homemade hash browns and all the different breads, bagels, and muffins to toast. There were even griddles to make your own waffles. This went way beyond the normal continental breakfast normally included in most hotel stays. The restaurant on site was Italian, but offered a little bit of everything and we ordered a little bit of everything for room service. It came quickly to our room and was packaged well with all the fixings. It was hot, seasoned right and definitely authentic. We would recommend ordering from the restaurant while you are there!! All of these things are great to include in a review but most importantly and the thing that made our stay the best were all the staff in the property. Every one of them greeted you with a smile right down to the maintenance gentleman and all wish you a happy stay. Everyone was pleasantly professional and all asked if they could meet our two puppies. All of them that were aware of my husband going to the hospital in the morning asked how he was doing. They just made it that much better for me while I waited. We met Annabelle in the lobby and she was so pleasant and shared with us about the hotel. She invited us to come back when we could just enjoy the area when we didn’t have a surgery planned. Annabelle was so great to talk to and provided us so much information. We also love Fadumo who assisted us and was another overly friendly professional that represented the property so well. Hilton should be very proud of what these individuals are doing at this location. It is a secret gem. These employees are truly what Hilton is trying to represent in the industry!! We would definitely recommend this hotel and wish we could give it a ten star review!!

Up to date furnishings, clean, breakfast was good and had a variety of options, price was reasonable. The suite we stayed in was expansive and the sofa bed was decent for a sofa bed. A couple of the downsides were that we were on the front side of the hotel and our room had wooden blinds that let in light from the patio of the restaurant connected to the restaurant and it is on the outskirts of the city so not much around and traffic is somewhat noisy. There was no blackout curtain over those blinds but there were black out curtains over the large windows in the room. Overall, the hotel was great!

We stay in the Stamford area often to visit family. We will not be going back to this hotel. First the positives: — Employees were nice and competent. — Breakfast was good.  — Price was very good compared to surrounding options. — Parking is free (you will have to walk outside from the garage to the lobby). Issues: — Lots of construction noise when we were there (also not the best part of town). — We were on the second floor. The hallway was so humid that the door to our room was dripping wet during the entire 48-hour stay. Like, we had to step over the puddle of water at the door threshold and could not touch anywhere but the metal handle without getting grossed out. Inside, the room was serviceable. — Generally just felt like the whole place was damp. — Shoddy renovation at some point, no care taken to use right angles or grout or paint properly.

This hotel was incredibly average. The beds were comfortable, the A/C worked well and the hot water was very hot and plentiful. A couple of things do stand out, both good and bad. First the bad: There is no business center at this property. If you need to use a computer and don't have one with you, you will be out of luck. Next, the large TV in the room did not give you the opportunity to change channels, if you wanted to switch from one channel to another you had to go back to the channel guide and search for the channel you wanted. I called the hotel the day before I arrived to ask if there was a clock or clock radio in the room. I was told there would be one in the room. THERE WAS NO CLOCK! Now for the good: The BREAKFAST was TERRIFIC. Make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, muffins, fresh fruit, cold cereal, juices and a few other things. Next, one employee was extremely helpful, her name is FADUMO. If the management gives awards to outstanding employees, she would definitely get my vote.
