Great location right in the middle of town! Close to many stores and restaurants! Friendly, helpful, accommodating staff! They went out of their way make our stay pleasant! Nice, clean, comfortable room! We are looking forward to staying there again!

Located right in the middle of Solvang. Easy walk to all the bakeries and other shops. Nice and clean hotel. As well with coffee and pastries in the morning. Staff was very nice. I would stay here again any time we come to Solvang ad Buellton (for the Hitching Post II)

“A Solvang gem!”

Really quaint, convenient place to stay in Solvang. Service was great - pool area real nice, great for families. Welcoming vibe! Continental breakfast was nice, yogurt, coffee & danishes. Walking distance to all restaurants & shops. We would definitely stay again!

“Cute hotel, just not for me”

I absolutely love Solvang. I made the decision to stay here in this town because of the nostalgia, and I wanted to get some pumpernickel bread. I got in late because I was driving from Northern California and had to take the route that goes through Paso Robles to the 101. That is one of the scaries… more

I absolutely love Solvang. I made the decision to stay here in this town because of the nostalgia, and I wanted to get some pumpernickel bread. I got in late because I was driving from Northern California and had to take the route that goes through Paso Robles to the 101. That is one of the scariest drives I have ever taken, because it’s a very curvy and dark road. So if you don’t feel comfortable driving through a highway, let alone one at night that isn’t lit up, I recommend taking a different route. Upon arrival, the man working the front desk was really nice and helpful, and just was trying to check me in, but didn’t make much conversation. He just gave me some helpful advice that I already knew that I looked into off of Apple and Google maps of how long it was going to take me to get back home down south a bit. The room is nice and updated, but very home-like, with a touch of old-school. In the morning, I think from 7-10, they have fresh pastries and other breakfast food, like yogurt and oatmeal, but they have fresh danishes! And coffee of course. However, check out is at 11, on the dot, so be prepared for that. Someone kept trying to get into my room around 6 AM, I had the windows closed and the door double locked. Also when I went down to get breakfast, there was a shady character, and I had 2 bags with me, and he kind of was staring at me when I first walked in, and while I was getting my breakfast, he asked he could help me, and I told him no, I’m ok, and then he walked out. I made sure that I checked my surroundings first before I went back to my room. Make sure you are out by 11 on the dot! Because I called the front desk to inquire about a late check out, and the person who I talked to on the phone told me that too many people had called for a late check-out and she was unable to extend my time, leaving me little time to get ready for my day. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the breakfast was not a real breakfast, the person trying to get into my room even though I had the door double locked, the shady character in the breakfast area (basically the lobby), and the people at the front desk. I don’t know if it was because I was alone, but I didn’t feel very welcome, and next time I come visit, because I truly love this little town, I will be staying in a more expensive hotel, where single people stay. I recommend this hotel to couples and families, not for single people.
