Very clean, friendly staff, excellent location! I was staying a couple of nights before my cruise and this hotel was in a perfect location. I was close to the market and the space needle. The cruise terminal was right across the street, making it very quick to walk to. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless.

“Lovely water view, but remember the Climb!”

The balcony overlooking the harbor provides a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. The balcony overlooking the harbor provides a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. The indoor-outdoor pool was also delightful in November, as it is heated: the steam rising off the water with the sun setting in the background was delightful. The hotel restaurant is good as well. Keep in mind that if you are traveling for business (as I was) and you need to get downtown (e.g. the convention ctr) you will have the Pike Place hill climb to tackle each morning, potentially in the rain, so save time for a 30 min walk to downtown. This is a quiet, clean, peaceful hotel that I highly recommend.

I’ll start with the fact that I am a lifetime titanium elite member… I’ve stayed at a LOT of Marriott properties. I chose this hotel because of its location. Close to Pike Market and the waterfront. The room is nice, the bonvoy lounge is always a nice benefit (free breakfast on weekdays, soft drinks, water, coffee, and afternoon snacks). The downside of this location… they add on $25 a day “destination” charge… plus tax… they explain that you can use this fee at the hotel restaurant, bar, and for room service. Why would you eat in the hotel in Seattle? Amazing food right outside the door! Also, they attempted to sneak a parking fee on my bill. I have no car… and I don’t buy that it was a mistake. They are counting on people not paying attending and getting a few extra dollars. This happens more and more often… hotels have struggled over the last few years and are trying to make a few dollars where they can… BUT that’s not my freaking problem! Thinking I may call this one into Marriott and let them know. This “nickel & dime” BS is inappropriate especially in a high end location like this one. Makes me feel like my status is meaningless that they’ll try to cheat a loyal customer… REVIEW YOUR BILL IN DETAIL!

We booked this hotel as for the convenience for a cruise the next day. We arrived late and tired and were greeted by a very pleasant young lady at the front desk. The room was fine..very typical Marriott property. Nothing special.. very average. Overall it was clean. There were no robes in the closet which would have been nice, but cost cutting seems to be rampant . I might add we booked with points so it made the cost more palatable. Dinner in the restaurant was again okay. Not memorable. They do seem strapped for employees, which is not my problem. We had breakfast there also…basically the same. Very average. We went back to the room and I was checking the bill and there was a $25 Seattle Hotel charge on the bill. I called the front desk to ask about this and 5 seconds after I nicely ask my question( I was told it would be removed when I checked in) this employee who did not identify herself said “you have an attitude “ and HUNG UP. So I went down there and ask to speak to the manager. Some woman appeared, was very waffling in her response…the credit was applied to our dinner (that was all I wanted to know..nothing complicated) We got a cab and left for our trip. I did email the “manager” multiple times and receive no response. After days someone finally responded and just made excuses. I don’t know if this is the “new” way of dealing with customers, but if these people worked for me, they would be looking for a new job. I am rating this hotel a 3..very average. If I were to rate the front desk morning shift I would give them a ZERO. I would not stay here again.
