Stayed 3 nights in a one-bedroom suite for business. The hotel/rooms feel dated overall, but the room was still very clean and in good condition, and I didn’t hear neighbors or any noise throughout the nights. Hotel is right opposite the lake, with beautiful views of the water and perfect for evening strolls on the pier. Other than that, not much else around the hotel, with the closest drugstore or supermarket all around 10-20 min walk away. Two bottles of water in the room for $5 each, and a mini mart in the lobby with light snacks, alcohol, drinks, ice-cream, etc, but still ended up taking the walk for cheaper options at CVS. Beds are on the soft side; fixed shower head with good water pressure; suite had a fridge, dishwasher, clean cups and plates - no hot water kettle, no safe box. Bathroom was small with the door opening right next to the toilet as other people pointed out, but was not really an issue. Personally might opt for a hotel a bit closer to downtown in the future, but had a nice stay and would recommend for long-stays, or anyone looking for somewhere near Lake Union. Best part was the reception team, who were all friendly and cheerful, and always ready to help.

This has been a really subpar experience. I live and work in the area, so I know it well. I am well-versed in the "Seattle Freeze" (which is real), but i still expect a hotel to cater better to its guests. Positives are: the room is large and comfortable for the most part. There is a lower level to the parking garage where the spaces are large enough to accommodate SUVs and trucks. Housekeeping staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Room is clean and there is a small patio. Location is convenient, but not the safest. There are homeless tents on the corner and open drug use in the surrounding blocks. Hotel has only one entrance, which is locked at night and helps with security. Pet-friendly. Negatives: The front desk staff are rude and less than helpful. The 2 different men I spoke with argued with me about my issues during my stay. The wi-fi is not secured, which is an issue trying to work remotely. The TV channel selection is the bare minimum and Netflix, YouTube and Pandora are the only internet apps available on the TV. Only one elevator has been working for the week I've been here - to service the entire hotel, even Housekeeping. The one working elevator is old and small. I have had to wait for several cycles each day for enough space as the elevator is often full. The man at the front desk said it just stopped one week ago (conveniently right before I checked in), but I can see from other reviews that it has been going on for at least 2 weeks. The only compensation they offered was for me to move to a room on a lower floor, which would also be terribly inconvenient. The breakfast is average, if you can even get it. I have had to wait for a clean plate and for food to be replenished. The ice bins that sometimes hold yogurt, boiled eggs, and for whatever odd reason cheese slices and spinach leaves are often empty. Coffee urns have been empty. There is no water at breakfast or in the lobby. I would not recommend this hotel unless you really want to be in this location, as I do. It is literally next door to Fred Hutch Cancer Center, so probably the most convenient place in the area to stay if you need to be there. Otherwise, it is overpriced and poorly serviced.

“First time I’ve seen poor service and behavior at Marriott. Be better!”

Rooms are good. Comfortable bed. Service at the bar, typical for Seattle, rude smug bar tender. Be better Marriott. Be better Seattle. Out of food early. Closed food service early. First time in all my stays at Marriott that I’ve seen such poor service and behavior.

Totally adequate hotel, friendly staff. Large rooms. Totally adequate hotel, friendly staff. Large rooms. On the downside: despite tons of room in the two-room suite, the bathroom is so small that sitting on the toilet means knees in the shower curtain. Why? Also, the free breakfast is really awful. Burned dried out scrambled eggs, bad coffee, had to go out and buy a decent breakfast. I hear it exists in Seattle. The room has an off smell, and the elevator smells like extremely strong cinnamon febreze - what are they hiding? Just a very dowdy hotel with nice people running it.
