They really took care of us for the inaugural Every Woman's Marathon! There was event signage in the hotel, I was treated like a queen, there were extra snacks for the runners. I got upgraded after a simple mention of what my confirmation email stated when it was different from what the desk was giving me. The only reason for the 4 rather than 5 stars was the entry of my room not being fully clean - there was a sticky substance on the floor and not cleaned from splashing on the closet door (probably coffee). Overall a really nice experience. There is no hot tub and the pool is pretty chilly (and only has ladders and no steps for entry), but is accessible and the hotel feels luxurious overall. Good coffee in the restaurant.

Front Desk Service: Checking in, the young lady was very nice, upbeat, and helpful. Checking out, the guy was very quick and friendly. Valet: When we checked in (Thursday), the guys were all very nice, efficient, and had a smooth sense of urgency. When checking out (Sunday), it was a young lady out there and she was too interested in her cell phone to help. Location: EVERYTHING! This hotel is centrally located to every and anything you could think of....clubs, bars, restaurants, tours, shops, entertainment, etc. Hotel Restaurant: We only at there for breakfast and the food was good. We both got the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! We also got a side of hash browns but they were raw inside and burnt on the outside so I could have don't without those. The live music Friday and Saturday night was really nice as well. Lobby: It's huge and spacious. It has a beautiful view. It flows very well. The only issue I had was that the furniture is dingy/dirty. It wouldn't hurt to bring a company in to clean all of it. I only sat on the brown leather chaise sofa because they were wipeable. Gym: There were a good number of treadmills, but not as many other machines. I did like that they had a separate area for mat exercise (Yoga). The cold towels were a nice touch. I loved seeing the sanitizing wipes as well. I didn't like that it seemed like a dungeon when going up there with the very low lighting so they could brighten up the place just a bit. Room: We got a Garden Terrace Patio Room (Appx 350.00/night). It was a HUGE waste of money. The walls are very thin so we heard everyone that came on and off the elevator all night. When we 1st went in, it had a stale smell. The room had a lamp on each side of the bed and a lamp over the chair (which was disgusting!). It was so dark, we couldn't see our clothes in the suitcase unless we waited until the daytime and opened the curtains. The curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the hotel was built! FILTHY! The bathroom was so tight, we had to take turns in there. I couldn't get out of the shower if my husband was in there because the sink, toilet, shower door, and bathroom door are all right in front of each other. The bathroom was dirty too. Hadn't been mopped of wiped down. It had dirty along the shower door, by the sink, and all over the trash can. The trash can had a lever for you to step on to open but it was broke and I definitely was not touching it with my hand (I didn't even want to touch it with my shoes)! Overall: I will definitely be back to he area because I fell in love with Savannah but I WILL NOT stay here again. I am going to try the Bohemian (next door) or the JW Marriott next time.

“Nice Rooms, but Poor Customer Service at Front Desk and Valet.”

We have stayed here many, many times over the last two decades. We love the location and view of the waterfront. The rooms are clean and the AC works properly. The bed was comfortable, but there was no blanket in the closet for us to use. No big deal. We have never had a problem until today. Upon checkin last night, we valet parked. $50. That’s high, but ok. It was dark and we didn’t want to find public parking. This morning we were trying to beat the 9 am rush so we texted our valet car number they provided last night, (see photo) and got the same message TWICE. The message said -Unfortunately we cannot find your valet ticket! Ok so why is our car missing? We called the front desk and let the phone ring 20 + times. No answer. We then tried the valet button on our room phone and let it ring 15 or 20 times. No one answered the phone there either. We gathered our luggage and head downed to the front desk and there are two employees there. We see that one employee at the front desk is on their phone and the other one appears to just be looking out at the lobby. There is no one in line and no one they are serving. Why would no one answer the calls? It’s apparent we are calling from the interior of the hotel room? At this point we are mad. Where is everyone??? I’m sure their hourly pay is getting paid. We walk outside to try to find help. No one there! My husband walks back inside to the guy on his phone And asks how do I get my car from valet? Without looking up at him, he continues to scroll on his phone, and he tells him - GO TO P3. No smile, no eye contact, no explanation. We take all of our luggage down to P3 only to find out that they will not bring your car up to you unless you have an oversized vehicle. This $50 is a total joke. I would have given this one star, based on the fact that our car was not dented, but the room was good. We complained to the lady at the valet stand downstairs about this procedure. We said valet needs to be explained to guests at checkin and someone needs to be answering the phones. The hotel management needs to do some retraining -As in Customer Service at check-in and checkout and valet. We didn’t use the bar this visit so no comment there. It’s typically nice. We are looking at our bill and it appears that the $50 was taken off for valet. That’s nice, but we did not ask for that. Probably in hopes we would not review this hotel.
