“Great weekend experience”

I stayed there for the July 4th weekend with my family. Areas were clean and nice specially the hotel staff were truly accommodating and friendly. I recommend this place since is very centric and with multiple open places around the area.

Hotel definitely has the potential to be great. Retro mid-century modern design from lobby to pool. Vibrant colors give a Palm Springs relaxing vibe. On a business trip to the Marriott cross street. It was a cheaper option if caught on those busy weekdays. The chill vibe is a plus compared to the strictly business atmosphere at Marriott. Room was ok. Not particularly big but ok for a single night stay. Bed was quite comfortable, probably was the best part of my stay and really wonder what brand of mattress it was. Pretty standard basic amenities. I like the coffee machine and empty fridge for you to utilize. There’s something that looks like a steamer for shirt, nice if theres a place to hang my shirt to tryout the machine. Maybe because I stayed in an accessible room, there was hanger in the drawer but strangely no closet or anyplace to hang my shirt or jacket. Unfortunately, and hopefully it was an outlier incident, saw a mid size spider in the bathroom. I did call the front desk to report but it was too late night that I’m lazy to change room. Hopefully the morning staff is aware and do something about it. Otherwise the room is in standard level cleanness. Overall it was a standard experience that merit an average review.

“Avatar, It Was Adequate”

The purpose of my visit was to watch a game at Levi Stadium. I stayed for one night in January 2020. I checked-in early evening and during that time I had a nice conversation with their front desk staff that concluded with exchanging smiles. The initial room I was given, room 342, was a disappointment. Both the TV and the heat exchange were inoperable. What was most worrisome was the front door not able to lock. When I contacted the front desk they recommended having their maintenance person look at the issues before making any moves to a new room. After a 10 minute visit from their maintenance person inspecting all the issues, who by the way was very kind, said to me, “I don’t understand why they gave you this room”, as he pointed to the door frame. “The door is out of alignment so it cannot be locked.” Needless to say I was assigned a new room immediately. A better room. Room 337. This hiccup was managed properly and I do give credit to the Avatar team for their actions. The hotel has its own parking spaces which is free-of-charge but at your own risk per the posted signs saying “at your own risk” - the parking lot has no security measures. It is true from other reviews that you can hear every step outside of your room. However, I didn't experience a lot of foot traffic and perhaps in part of staying during a slower time. Keep in mind this is classic motel-style accommodations. No amenities, no room service, only the adjacent IHOP restaurant. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are kitschy and no doubt outdated, Avatar makes it convenient to walk to Levi Stadium and indeed was fun walking with all the football fans. I like the Hotel staff. I had a comfortable sleep. The place is welcoming, clean and all the linens were of good quality. Will I return? I'm not sure. The experience overall was adequate.
