“Good stay”

Really nice little motel. Good size family room. Pillows were not very comfy or fluffy. Am finding that in a lot of the motels though. Cute pool which was really refreshing to have a dip in. Staff polite and helpful. Had a few little outdoor areas that were good to chill in.

Stayed at the Oasis for 1 night while passing through and I honestly wish I could have stayed an additional night. The hotel from the outside does not look like much but the rooms are very cute. I got a King room in the rooms around the pool, not the 2 story building. The room wasn't very large but was more than enough space for 2 people. No closet, just an open hanging area above a bench in the corner. A desk and chair, microwave and mini fridge were in the room for use. Little bistro type seating in front of the rooms as well as two bigger tables for 6 people under a canopy with lights on both sides of the pool. The weather was nice so we grabbed food, ate outside and played board games. It is next to a busy street but the noise level was not bad. Location is far from your typical tourist spots in SB - beach and state street but for the price, it's worth the stay and there is plenty of parking around SB where you want to go so it wasn't a big deal to not be within walking distance. Staff was friendly as well.

“Good value for price”

Stayed on NYE wkend when there were no vacancies and had no trouble finding parking each time we came back. Stayed on NYE wkend when there were no vacancies and had no trouble finding parking each time we came back. Good, safe location, walking distance to 2 good breakfast spots that were open on New Year's Day. Pleasant exterior decor made for pleasant areas to sit outside. Interior cleaning could be better (walls and doors need to be wiped down but sink, toilet, shower, beds, floors were clean). Heater/AC/fan unit was QUIET - the more expensive hotel chains need to learn from this property! Walls were thin - could hear our neighbors' conversation! We didn't hear much street noise, even though it was on a main thoroughfare.

The Oasis was better than I was expecting based on the reviews here. The pool area is very nice. Many spots to sit outside. The rooms are not huge but not tiny. A King bed, nightstands and a little desk. There is a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. While the location may not be ideal for downtown it is a cental location, very safe with many dining options in walking distance. There is a bus stop just a half a block away that will get you downtown in minutes, for $1.50. The price for the room may seem high, but Santa Barbara is very, very expensive, especially in prime-time summer season. I though it a fair value for the room and location. Lots of families while we were there.
