This hotel was not our first choice. Our initial hotel we researched had to cancel our reservation due to an emergency building issue. This hotel met the following criterion: it was within the Dunwoody area, the price was reasonable for last-minute reservations, and had favorable TripAdvisor reviews. Additional attributes were a clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower, working tv and hot breakfast. No frills, just average amenities for the value. Negatives were front desk staff interaction with Hilton staff Brigitte upon arrival. We arrived prior to check-in at 3pm. We were told our room was ready and we could check-in early for $75 fee. I declined. My sister also inquired if the check-in policy of $75 fee applied to HHonors members, of which I am a member, Brigitte stated "Yes". My sister thought it odd, since we had not encountered that before. We returned later in the afternoon to check-in without $75 fee, I was told I was not an HHonors members and was charged incorrectly for my stay because I had pre-paid for my stay. Brigitte corrected the issues, it was less than pleasant experience. Additional negative is within room there is only 4 outlets for charging. They were not located on the nightstand.

There were some things I didn’t like about my room/stay. A lot of little hairs in the bathroom. Crumbs and a dirty paper towel on and near the ottoman like someone had just eaten here. There was a sign that the water will be off from 9am-4pm for two days in a row. Glad only one day falls on our stay. Still we should have been notified via email and not surprised as we are checking on to the hotel. The pool was closed but not noted on the booking website. Very dirty light switches and lamp bases. The good thing is the lobby has disinfecting wipes so I used those to clean most surfaces. Wish there was one on every floor. They do not clean rooms daily or bring fresh towels. You have to leave your used towels in front of the door and go to the desk to request fresh ones. Wifi is patchy. There is a Publix grocery store nearby as well as a few places to eat. The Publix was nice to grab water and subs for our first day. They will also have travel size items if any are needed. Thought there were stains in the bed but seems to only be thinning spots. The sheets did smell like they could have been freshly changed. If you aren’t too picky this is actually a decent place to stay. 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive to the mall and Dunwoody train station that takes you straight to the airport. Overall considering the price we paid and proximity to perimeter mall (and a few other places) I would give my stay a 3.5. If the pool was open and the water didn’t go out I would’ve rated a 4.
