My spouse and I booked this at the last minute. We were in town visiting my family and I was also attending my high school reunion that night. My spouse was ill, so she chose to just rest and recover, so we didn't need fancy accommodations. We chose this hotel because of (low) price and location. The hotel isn't fancy. The building is very old (it has gone through several owners and was not a new building when I lived nearby as a kid several decades ago!) and reasonably well kept. The elevator is slow and creaky, but it is a Otis elevator (best brand out there for elevators!), so it is okay. It met our needs. The bed was comfy enough, though having to adjust the heater (it was on A/C mode though it was a cool fall evening) was a minor annoyance. The bathroom was adequate. The front desk was efficient enough though there was very few ways to get into the parking lot. Overall, it did fine for one brief night. I am not booking it for a week though, unless I am really strapped for cash, but it would work well for that, especially if you need a hotel right by the Richmond airport (about 2 miles away). One last cool thing, I did meet a WWE Hall of Famer in that same elevator when I was returning with a late late dinner. His name is Ron Simmons (Google the name, kids and learn well!) and he and I chatted briefly in the elevator. He was as nice as can be. He even wished my ill spouse a quick recovery from her illness (brief, thank goodness...may address that in a future restaurant review).
