Great location, small but pleasant rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Third-floor room was very quiet. In-and-out privilieges in garage much appreciated. I did greatly missed the White Horse Tavern, which I was told is being demolished and replaced, which may take two years. Sad, that was a lovely piece of old San Francisco. In its absense, there is no food service in the hotel.

The room was simple yet comfortable. This building has been a hotel for many decades, so there is some fraying around the edges. It is kept very clean, however, and the room was perfect for my needs. The room was simple yet comfortable. This building has been a hotel for many decades, so there is some fraying around the edges. It is kept very clean, however, and the room was perfect for my needs. It was nothing fancy, and fairly small, but all of the electrical devices (lamps, TV) worked just fine. The bath/shower was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. The point of coming to San Francisco is not to stay in your hotel room all day, but when returning after the day's activities it was a fine place to get a good night's sleep.

The hotel was great for a basic place to sleep and have a hot shower and freshen up while visiting the city. Good for price being as it’s hard to find any affordable hotels. The hotel was great for a basic place to sleep and have a hot shower and freshen up while visiting the city. Good for price being as it’s hard to find any affordable hotels. Paid about $100 a night, stayed for 3 nights. It is an old hotel so be prepared for it to not be in perfect condition. Everything worked and the maid service was super helpful and accommodating. The 2 men that were working the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful and offered recommendations for the area. The only thing we didn’t like was the bathroom door was hard to open and close. And the lock was finicky. We accidentally locked it from the outside in so that was a pain but we figured it out. Was clean and quiet. There is hardly any parking near by unless you want to pay valet service in a parking garage which is $42 a night which gets pricey by the end of your stay.. unless you want to risk parking on the side of the road and getting your car broken into overnight. Worth it to keep the car safe, but keep this in mind if you’re driving. Had a great stay and would recommend!
