Hotel has been redone and the beds are so comfy, the pillows are great and it is generally pretty quiet. I was here while the hotel was completely booked, but any small need or problem (like having the hotel cleaning staff accidentally set the room alarm to 1:05am and having a siren alarm sound), the securing man was up here is less than 2 minutes and was very kind.

“Great location for your convention accommodations.”

AFIA convention. It's a quite nice hotel with good service and a very decent restaurant. I don't say "decent" light heartedly as I don't typically like hotel restaurants because it's not their specialty but this one is totally a good find. Love the service and the food.

Pros: Great location in the heart of the convention center. Walking distance to all the major attractions as advertised with easy access to the train line within a free zone if not inclined to walk. Hotel is clean and has a contemporary feel. Vehicle drop off and pickup of entry portal to hotel is conveniently out of traffic pattern. Hotel personnel was very friendly especially Cleopatra at the front desk. The Copper Canyon restaurant on the hotel premises served us and the hotel well. It is the only one nearby. Food was very good and prices reasonable. Pancakes with their home made buttermilk syrup was the best. Cons: Limited valet service; no personnel to assist people with disabilities. Desk personnel assumed duty as concierge. When asked for location of visitors center and operation of the train line, desk person did not know and didn't bother to seek assistance from colleague. I found out that information from tour driver. Though there were two shuttles; they were only available to shuttle airline personnel to and from airport, a twenty minute drive. Pool and jacuzzi facilities were shut done for the rest of the year. Hotel room was okay. Entry daor and door to bathroom was damaged and under repair with chalking/spackling chips visible on hall way carpet and room floor. Room was oddly furnished and arranged with a mini amour where you weren't able to hang any clothing of length. Three little shelves in the amour served as a dresser. The mattresses were soft and sagged, definitely needing an up grade. I was sent a text by management after our first day of a three night stay, asking for a rating on how they were doing. I believe I rated our stay a seven then. The reply was that they would get back to me shortly but never did. Point of my evaluation. My wife and I have traveled extensively and have stayed at a range of star rated hotels. I am not a complainer but a four star rated hotel should not have any of these shortcomings especially when located in the heart of the action and convention center no less.
