The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. It featured a balcony with a sliding glass door that was a bit difficult to open but it did provide access to the balcony. There was a mini-fridge in the room and electrical outlets next to the bed. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a small step, a grab bar for safety, and a small bench seat. The floor of the shower was just a little slippery but the hotel provided an anti-slip mat to use for safety. Water pressure was good; there was a standard showerhead. Front desk staff was efficient and professional. (Tip: To access the room via the elevator/lift, hold the room key card flat against the key card pad in the elevator, wait for the green and red lights to display, press the desired floor, then remove the key card from the key card pad. If the floor number doesn't stay lit when you press it, you need to start over.) The hotel had a restaurant on site as well as a convenient market with sandwiches, salads, snacks, sundries, etc. There was pay parking available at the hotel. I would stay at this hotel again.

“Observed changes over 10 years”

Been coming to this hotel for at least the past 10 years, and have observed the following ; a) fitness room has definitely improved, equipment is newer and cleaner b) rooms have been renovated, updated....but amenities have been cut, bare bones now - c) alarm clock is now removed - I had to request for one. Was told that the hotel is doing away with that. WHAT ? Isn't that a necessary item ?? These were all already placed in the rooms, there is no additional cost involved....WHY remove them ? d) Business center has been replaced with a standalone printer. This is a bad move - while one can attempt to print out documents, (and it does not always work - some pdf files does not go through), printing out a web page, or info. from a website renders the printer totally useless. e) A fancy market place now offers snacks and amenities at exorbitant prices. Seems that the management has decided to rip off travelers whenever they can. Eg. the price of a cup of brewed coffee is $2 more than from a Starbucks store. Even with the discount, it is still 40% above. f) Front desk staff were mostly great, esp. the morning shift. One stands out - Gigi, who's absolutely helpful and provides awesome service. Overall, it seems like the policy here is to cream whatever you can off the guests.
