“Good Hotel off the Highway”

Stopped in when the weather got bad, friendly staff, nice room - double queen - only me but that's what was available, would stay here again, good breakfast with eggs, pancakes, waffles, juice, coffee, muffins, danishes, yogurt, cereal, etc.

Our room was great!! Everything was clean and newly decorated, too! The staff was friendly, it was quiet, and the bed and pillows were so comfy! We would have rated it as a 5, except, as older folks, we found the soap, shampoo and lotion dispensers difficult to squeeze! In spite of that, we would definitely recommend it!

“Rapid City Vacation Hotel”

This hotel was very basic and met our needs, but at a minimum level. We were here for 3 nights and rented 2 rooms for a party of 4. During our stay, we had to order additional towels and washcloths. This hotel was very basic and met our needs, but at a minimum level. We were here for 3 nights and rented 2 rooms for a party of 4. During our stay, we had to order additional towels and washcloths. Strangely, there were no towel racks to hang wet towels, hand towels, or wash cloths. I guess they were just supposed to go on the floor. That would have been ok if we had room service to take away the dirty ones and replace them with clean ones. The room was nice, clean and basic. The breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast fair with powdered eggs, funny sausage and usual other stuff. The coffee was just funny tasting colored water. We wanted to wake up with some COFFEE! Varooom! Put some grounds in it and start your engine. One of our party doesn't drink coffee, the other three of us independently without coercion said this coffee was BAAAD. We tried the room coffee and it was only marginally better. On this 20-day trip, we only found one hotel that actually had "good" coffee. This is not how we remembered it from past vacations and we don't think we are coffee snobs. The staff gave us great service and top notch recommendations for dining in Rapid City. We went to both - one nearby and one in historic downtown. Great recommendations by Denise and a huge thank you. The hotel was very comfortable for a vacation stay. We did however return for two nights at the end of our vacation and selected another hotel in the area that had a few more comforts for nearly the same price.

We, family, needed a place to stay for one night while traveling and since we trust Comfort Inn, we chose this place. The entire place, including our rooms, were very clean and well appointed and we enjoyed ourselves while there. All three of us (two rooms) are retired and on fixed incomes and we’ve always loved traveling. But we are finding ourselves close to being priced out of being able to continue by the hefty prices being charged these days. That will be sad for us, and many others, when that happens! Please consider lowering prices for seniors to help keep us active and enjoying our lives! Thank you!
