Celebrated my best friend’s 40th with a staycation. It was such a great time having family time with the kids followed my adult only girls time and dinner. James at the front desk was amazing!! I was able to check in early and add a little decor to the room before her arrival. The property is beautiful and pet friendly as my fur baby even enjoyed walks in property before doing to the sitter. The best was comfy. Location was perfect close to every surrounding city considering we didn’t know where we wanted to go for dinner. The view of room was pretty facing the adult pool. The rooms were spacious, a little outdated but comfortable and we didn’t mind at all. Sitting at balcony with a glass of wine was so nice in the evening. Would def recommend staying here.

The Westin Rancho Mirage is one of our favourite resorts in the world, and our recent stay did not fail to impress. A special shout out to our friend James, who helped us secure a booking at late notice and always offers us incredible service for each visit! We stayed in a King Room that was very large and spacious with a very comfortable bed and great views over the golf course and fountains. However, as we have mentioned before on our reviews of this property, one of the major disadvantages of this hotel is the bathroom quality, which is both small and dated, with old school bathtub/shower combos which are just outdated and should be replaced with modern shower cubicles. Our bathroom had a broken floor tile, however after a quick call to the front desk, this was promptly fixed. The maid service was good, providing complimentary water bottles each day. The resort itself is extremely large, featuring a golf course, three pools, and multiple hot tubs. We particularly enjoyed the quiet pool, a nice little secluded haven! On the downside, the pools themselves need some attention, with cracked or missing tiles, rust around the ladders, and black mould in some of the hot tubs. The eroding handrails are also not what you would expect from a four-star resort. There is ample parking around the resort, close to your hotel block – sadly this is paid for, and considering we are in the desert, and the size of the resort – paid parking does feel a bit unnecessary.   There is also an incredible complimentary happy hour offered each day, with free alcoholic drinks and snacks for 1 hour, we really enjoyed this, please keep it going! There is also an amusement room with bowling and games, which would help keep children entertained. There is an onsite coffee shop, offering snacks and a resort shop – although this we found to be incredibly pricey, so we didn’t utilise this. We also particularly like the animal friendly aspect to this hotel, with onsite Koi fish, a night Heron, 2 Turtles in their own housing plot, and a resident dog in the lobby that is up for adoption – and bonus points, guests can request to walk the dog around the resort!! Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this resort. The resort does show its age in some places, and definitely needs some renovation in areas to live up to its 4* standard, but we still love it, and will return in the future, but some attention to certain areas is definitely needed to keep to the high standards that guests are paying for when visiting such a high-class luxurious resort.

“To hard with handicapped person”

Husband is handicapped and the hotel is not good for that. There is no valet service or anyone to help with the luggage, the rooms are in different buildings so if you want to go to one of their restaurants you have to wait for a golf cart to pick you up and take you back to your building. There is no valet service or anyone to help with the luggage, the rooms are in different buildings so if you want to go to one of their restaurants you have to wait for a golf cart to pick you up and take you back to your building. The rooms were nice but their is not a elevator to get to the even rooms which are on the second floor only stairs.

I’ll start with what we liked. Location is good, there was a fun manager’s reception/happy hour and the beds were comfortable. What we didn’t love was that there were a lot of issues with the arcade (they don’t own it, but bowling is part of the resort perks. Mini golf was closed and they didn’t mention it at check in. There was filming taking place that took up a lot of parking space. It’s definitely an older hotel and there were a lot of conditions issues. This was our 2nd stay and I don’t think we will return.
