“Decent hotel that needs some freshening up”
This is an honest review from someone who stays here frequently. The place needs to be freshened up and updated. Wall panels are peeling from the wall in the hallway on the bottom floor. This is an honest review from someone who stays here frequently. The place needs to be freshened up and updated. Wall panels are peeling from the wall in the hallway on the bottom floor. The ceiling in our closet had gaps where electronic wires are placed. There were stains on the wall by the bathroom sink that came off easily with a washcloth. The free breakfast isn't something to complain about because it's free, but you'd be better off running to the McDonalds on the corner instead. The breakfast lady is a bit of a tyrant. Be aware that there is no ice in the room and there are no ice machines on each floor. Ask for ice when you check in. The bed is very uncomfortable. The bathroom sink does not drain property. Enjoy watching your spit float around for a while in the sink after you brush your teeth. Couldn't open the sliding glass door for fresh air circulation because of holes in the screen. Didn't want bugs coming in the room. The good points - proximity to the mall and a good central location. The water pressure was great in the shower and the shower drained properly. The pillows were fluffy, if you like that sort of thing, and I do. There was an adequate amount of flatware and plates for meals. Being able to cook a meal or prep a lunch before heading out for the day is convenience. There is a free breakfast every morning if you are not a picky eater. It's very convenient that there are snacks and drinks for sale by the front desk, and the staff at the front desk is great. The a/c works great in the room. Only one elevator works at the main "two elevator" bank but it's not that bad because we never had to wait long for an elevator. I will still stay here because of the location, but just know that it's not a 4 or 5 star hotel.

“Average homewood suites”
Nice grounds and lobby, but the rooms are a bit dated. The shower curtain rod in the room was broken and as a result the curtain kept sagging to the middle and drenching the bathroom. At least the bed was comfortable. The gym was just okay, elliptical machine was broken. I'd probably try a diff… more
