“Clean hotel and friendly staff”
Everything was great. The man at the check in desk was extremely helpful and found me a room as I arrived early. The hotel is clean and the staff is very helpful/friendly. The hotel is in a great location and is walkable to many stores and restaurants. Highly recommended!

“Comfortable hotel but extremely noise with a billing mess”
The Hampton Inn is clean, and the staff were efficient for the usual things. The free breakfast is nothing special but is adequate. The Hampton Inn is clean, and the staff were efficient for the usual things. The free breakfast is nothing special but is adequate. Be aware that the hotel is central to a district with restaurants, clubs, and cars revving their engines at all hours of the night. It is an extremely noisy environment. The hotel actually provides ear plugs in each room, and guests can request a white noise machine at the front desk to try to block out the noise. If you have any trouble with noise, you will not get any sleep. The hotel knows about the problem and has a policy of not giving refunds for noise complaints. Be forewarned. Finally, there was a big discrepancy in my bill. Although I booked at a rate that included all taxes, they added them onto the bill. They insisted I would have had to provide them "a paper" (presumably, a tax exempt certificate) not to pay the taxes. First, I booked their offer of a flat rate, and second, their offer said the taxes were included, so taxes were actually getting paid. It was a real mess to get the hotel to deduct them. Fortunately, I had taken screen shots of the offer and had kept my confirmation email, which showed the expected total price for the stay. Then the revised bill showed a charge for an extra day, which they deducted. They said that was the way their system worked. I will not be going back to a Hampton Inn (a Hilton property). It is not worth the mess that they create for a simple thing like charging you the agreed upon price. I'll scrutinize my credit card statement to make sure that all the charges and deductions end up being the price promised to me.
