“Great Location”

This hotel is very well located near the river, in easy walking distance to the rest of the downtown area and to College Hill (but beware the steep streets in College Hill). We didn’t use the complementary shuttle bus (it was already being used the one time we asked about it), but the local bus hub is just a few blocks away and useful for getting up that hill. My friend and I had a large room with two queen beds, a desk and chair, a chest of drawers, a small closet hidden behind a mirror, a mini-fridge and microwave, and several outlets of different types at convenient locations. There was only one luggage rack (common in hotel rooms for two people, which I find annoying), but we requested a second one, and it was delivered in a few minutes. The bathroom was roomy, with plenty of counter space around the sink, and a night light (nice touch). If I were designing it, however, I would change three things to make it more user friendly: (1) The toilet is a low-rise style; I prefer it higher. (2) There’s no hook next to the tub/shower to hang a towel. (3) The containers of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are attached to the wall at the end of the tub, but too high for easy use by short people. Breakfast is included, and there’s a decent variety of hot and cold items—oatmeal and cold cereals, hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs or omelets, sausage, hash brown potatoes, fresh waffles, fresh cut and whole fruit, scones and muffins.

“Beautiful hotel, untrustworthy staff, stolen prescription meds.”

Hotel was great. Beautiful building, clean room. But after checkout, about halfway to Boston we realized I left two prescription pill bottles in the nightstand. Called the hotel they said they found nothing. Know for a fact they were there

Great staff and large room. Very dated rooms. Loud toilet and lid that doesn’t have a slow-close. You can walk everywhere from this location Strange connection to a parking lot right at the entrance that completely steamrolls us into parking there - when we get out of the car we see a sign from the hotel alerting people that this particular parking lot is NOT AFFILIATED with the hotel. Why this guy at the parking lot is allowed to scam us is ridiculous! So here’s a tip, when someone doesn’t answer your question(s) then it’s time to realize you are being taken advantage of.
