Location: This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh's business centre between the US Steel Tower and the Mellon Arena. It also is situated within easy, walking distance of the Convention Centre, the BNY Mellon Bank Complexes, US Steel and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Headquarters and a 5-minute drive from Strip District shopping. “Downtown Pittsburgh Doubletree”
Great location across the street from light rail station and nice view into downtown from the room. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bed super comfortable. Great restaurant (Bigelow Grille) with tasty food and a nice drink selection.

“All that I needed and then some.”
Just checked out after a quick business trip. Easy access off the highway, was able to walk to my business meeting downtown and was able to well poured Jack on the Rocks in the bar after a long day. TV was big, room was clean and the place was quiet. Really all I needed on this trip. Bravo to t… more

TV was big, room was clean and the place was quiet. Really all I needed on this trip. Bravo to the Bartender and the front Desk. See you all on the next trip!

“It’s 2am, who’s getting your second key?”
Had a little too much fun in Pittsburgh on a Friday night, if you know what I mean. My and my new 2AM honey needed a place to “lay” our heads…popped in here found a clean room, cool staff and a killer Avo toast breakfast…all served by some Bulgarian princess with an amazing smile!! “Disappointing stay”
We stayed here for a weekend of downtown events for which the hotel was very convenient but are unlikely to return. We stayed here for a weekend of downtown events for which the hotel was very convenient but are unlikely to return. The one bright spot was our room which was large, pleasant and updated, as opposed to other reviewers. Unfortunately, we encountered similar issues noted by many other reviewers suggesting either that the property can’t or won’t correct these issues. Elevators: only 2 were working, although we used the service elevator several times. When the hotel is full, as it was, this is an issue Parking: the parking garage was full and we had to find parking on the street or at another garage (not easy). We were told that this happens every time the hotel is full. Fortunately, when I expressed my disappointment, the desk clerk let us park in the loading zone out front the first night. If you know you consistently have insufficient parking spaces, just be honest about it up front! Restaurant: a full menu is listed for breakfast; however, we were told that because “the hotel was full”, they were only doing the buffet, which was $22 per person for basically no different than what you get for free at a Hampton. Housekeeping: they have daily housekeeping; we returned at 3:30 pm to no housekeeping. I was told that because we had the “do not disturb” sign out after 9am, we were put on a “do not clean” list. If this is their policy, they should say that and if a guest needs privacy for part of the morning, they can tell someone when they leave. Also, housekeeping our last morning just walked into our room without knocking; we were not dressed! I expect much more from Hilton.
