Our family had a great time here at Tapatio Cliffs. This place never disappoints. It will definitely be another great family memory. Thanks to Liz in the coffee shop she always puts a smile on your face with her kindness and generosity. A great way to start the day!

We spent four days the week of the Fourth of July to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved it. Our suite was 2131 in building three with a resort view. We lucked out and had parking in front of our room. There are several parking lots but you would have to walk up a hill to get to some of the villas. We were given armbands when we checked in to the hotel but was told we probably wouldn’t need them since it was “pretty quiet” this week. This confused me because he never told me what the bands were for and what happens when the hotel IS busy. Would they give me special privileges?? Can anyone just hang out at the resort?? There is enough swimming pools and eating choices so nothing was ever crowded. Don’t know about the weekends since we checked out on a Friday. We loved the poolside service. Drinks and food were delicious. Room service delivery was very quick. I wish we would have played at least half a round of golf. The course was beautiful. My Pros are the same as most other reviewers: Liz at Starbucks was great!! I think I was her first customer every morning. She bought patriotic items to give for the holiday. This made my anniversary coffee even more special. Shuttle will take you anywhere on site. They were usually quick…not on the holiday. It’s too hot after 10am to walk so these were much appreciated. Sunset pool did not disappoint for the view. It was small and intimate. That area because of the elevation also had the best view for sunrise. Point in Tyme restaurant had good sandwiches and mojitos. Here are my Cons. They may be exclusive to me but here ya go: Key card stopped working once I downloaded my digital key. They sent someone to the room to open our door but still had to go to the lobby to get new one. Although I mostly used my digital key for the room, it does not open the gate at the sunset pool. Learned that the hard way too. The exterior elevators are HOT BOXES. Be prepared or take the stairs if you can. My last complaint is really a pet peeve. The guy at check in highlighted everything on the resort map. He started out telling us where to find our villa. He probably verbally gave us good directions. But by the time he highlighted the pools, the golf course, and restaurants….we had a big yellow map of the resort. All in all this was a great stay. Some people say that the resort needs upgrading. It’s not outdated. Just all a part of the rustic charm. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Went July 4 to celebrate our anniversary. Had a couple issues at the start. Paid extra to pick our room closest to main lobby pool but upon arrival was told it was not available and got a horrible location clear on other side of resort way at top of super steep hill. Staff not very friendly about it at check in. Disappointing to say the least. We made the best of it to enjoy rest of stay Highlight of stay was the Starbucks barista on site. Her name was Liz and she was outstanding. Super friendly,we told her it was our anniversary and she went above and beyond to make sure our order was exceptional. Thank you Liz for ending our stay on a high note

“103 at 9 am = a need for the best iced coffee”

Liz at Starbucks was extremely friendly. She made our coffees on our last day at the resort. Not only were they made perfectly and were delicious, but she decorated our cup to fit the holiday. She chatted with us through the entire interaction and made us feel so welcome. Definitely making us fee... more

She chatted with us through the entire interaction and made us feel so welcome. Definitely making us feel as if we already need to plan another vacation to return. Thank you for the great stay!
