Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa At Montelucia

“Great location for a conference!”

We had a companywide event at the Omni and they executed to perfection. It's a beautiful resort. The beds are comfy, the rooms are clean, the food is delicious, and the setting is beautiful. My favorite thing about the Omni was the customer service.

My recent stay at the Omni Scottsdale had both highlights and disappointments, particularly due to unsettling encounters with certain staff members. Unfortunately, I experienced what appeared to be racial bias during my interactions at the front desk and in the restaurant. When I approached the front desk, Jane, the woman assisting guests, greeted non-Black guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm. Yet, when I, a Black woman, approached, I was met with silence and a cold, watchful stare. There was no “hello” or “welcome,” just a starkly different level of service. This pattern repeated itself in the restaurant, where a fair-toned, heavyset woman (who mentioned she was in her last two days) again offered no greeting or warmth to me but interacted joyfully with a nearby white couple. It’s disheartening to observe the subtle ways Black people are still subjected to differential treatment—a behavior that violates the Civil Rights Act, which mandates equal treatment in public accommodations. On a brighter note, the rest of the stay was exceptional. The pool staff, bellhop, and other team members demonstrated genuine warmth and professionalism, making my stay otherwise enjoyable. BLAKE IS FIVE STAR! He made me feel like a queen! I would still return because of the amazing first and last impression by the bellhop team outside and pool staff!’ Blake and the others rock!!!

“Gorgeous resort with housekeeping issue”

This is a truly beautiful resort. The views of Camelback Mountain are stunning. Everyone that works here is extremely friendly. The grounds are gorgeous and the food we were able to try was delicious. Unfortunately, this resort has a serious housekeeping problem. Upon check-in, we noticed a used towel hanging in the bathroom with makeup on it, and there were makeup and other unidentifiable stains on two of the four pillows on the bed. This was extremely disappointing to see at such a nice, expensive, and well regarded resort. When we mentioned this at check out, the hotel offered to remove the resort fee, which was appreciated. However, it was truly disappointing to encounter this cleanliness issue given how much we loved the resort. We hope things will improve in the future but for now…not sure if we will return.
