we absolutely love the LEGACY GOLF RESORT. we stay here every time we are in phoenix. the grounds, pool area and condos are very well maintained, very clean and very well stocked with coffee, dish soap and laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion in the event your stay is unexpected. we also love the "casita" designs - inside and out with small porches or balconies to enjoy the desert. we live in sedona and go to phoenix regularly, and sometimes do not plan to stay, but decide at the last minute to do so. having the soap etc is particularly thoughtful and welcomed. the pool is heated in the winter - which is a huge plus for us, coming from cooler climes. we 100% recommend this establishment. they have a restaurant also, which is super convenient. the grounds are lovely with fountains and beautifully landscaped. and being tucked away from traffic adjacent to the mountain - the air is super clean too - which is something to consider when going to the big city! the staff are all lovely also. and of course, the convenience of the golf being right outside your door is the icing on the cake, if you golf. THANKS YOU everyone at legacy for making our visits so pleasant.

“Great place”

We enjoyed our stay at Legacy. You really can't beat the price and location. The staff was great, the pool was wonderful, the bed was comfortable, and the rooms are a bit dated, but for the price and the amenities, it is worth it. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I came for a vacation to celebrate my friends birthday. We had a great time. We love the location. It's basically 15 minutes to 30 minutes to everywhere 4-5 hours to Antelope Canyon.

This property has lots of potential but unfortunately the areas it falls short really impacts the ability to provide a higher score. The Good: -The golf course was beautiful and exceptionally maintained for how how it gets there. The staff in the pro shop and the starters were very friendly and welcoming and made for a nice round. -The pool was also great, big enough that if there were a decent amount of people in it you weren't cramped and could swim away to a less congested area. The bartenders at the pool made great drinks and it was nice to have the ability to order food. -The fact that the rooms had a full kitchen and washer/dryer was a real incentive for us to stay as we were there for almost 2 weeks. The rooms are outdated as one could expect from an older resort, but it was clean nonetheless. The Bad: -The TIMESHARE nonsense. We promptly told the gentleman at the lobby during our check in that we were not interested whatsoever, however he insisted he take one of our drivers licenses "for security purposes" (even though the front desk had literally just taken our license to check in), and tried unsuccessfully to force us to wear the room key bracelets. We were told at the end of his attempt he "knows when to back off, and no one else will contact you moving forward". So that was a lie. We received SEVERAL phone calls during our stay, not only to our room but also to our phone number on file, and I am STILL receiving text messages and emails from the Legacy Real Estate team asking "when am I free to talk". Being a former manager with Hilton for several years, this is absolutely atrocious and is enough to not make me want to come back in itself. It is 2024, people should understand "no means no". -In support of all other reviews, there is ZERO soundproofing in the rooms. So if you want to hear the couple next door arguing to the point of a domestic, or to hear the next couple who checks in have sex loudly every single night and then turn country music on every morning while you are still in bed, this is the property to book. -There was a significant influx of children at the pool on the weekend with some sketchy adults in tow. We chatted with an older couple who stayed at the property frequently and they mentioned they believed the surrounding community had access to the amenities, which would make sense as it appeared it was a children's birthday party taking over the pool area and they all had regular beach towels that were not from the property. -The driving area around the property was quite sketchy. Be ready to see lots of homeless people at the bus stops as well as walking around. Not that there was anywhere to walk around outside of the property itself, but if there was we definitely were not going to do it. Overall our recommendation is to come for the golf, but stay at another property in Scottsdale.
