“SAN CARLOS Hotel”
Room rates are less if booked directly. It seems to be an independent hotel which are rapidly disappearing in US. A nice historical building that has preserved the atmosphere of older days. “Interesting Hotel!”
This was an older hotel that was right downtown. It was a short walk to the convention center. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was I couldn't find any vending machines or an ice machine on my floor.

“It shows its age.”
The screaming radiator heater turned out to be a blessing as the walls were so thin that I could overhear a phone conversation in the next room.
