I would like to give this hotel 4.5 stars as it was very good but not perfect and 4 stars seems too low, so I’m giving 5… The cleaning staff, breakfast manager and airport shuttle driver were super friendly. The courtyard is gorgeous with its pool, beautiful landscaping, fire pits and seating areas. The breakfast was nice and offered a variety of good quality items (organic tea, not-from-concentrate orange juice, high quality yogurt…) I appreciated the receptionist’s tips when I asked for a quiet room, and she mentioned the busy street. She offered several rooms away from the busy street. Our room ended up facing the busy street because I wanted to be on the top floor. So it was totally my choice. It was pretty noisy during the day but the traffic didn’t bother me at night when I was sleeping. I liked having a spacious suite with a closed bedroom (with king sized bed) and a pullout couch in the living room for my son: very convenient! The kitchenette area could be useful to some guests. If I recall correctly, there was a sink, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The one strange thing was that the bathroom sink was not in the bathroom, but in the bedroom. So the bathroom only had a bathtub and toilet and you had to step out of the bathroom, into the carpeted bedroom to wash your hands and brush your teeth. Now the reasons I didn’t want to give 5 starts but 4.5: 1) The room decor is a bit dated. Not a major problem. 2) The room smelled bad. Very musty. We aired it out for a long time (good airflow when you open balcony door and front door) but the odour did not go away… I guess it’s trapped in the carpet. Perhaps tile floors, though louder for the people in the room below, would be more hygienic? Especially when you have a bathroom sink and kitchenette sink splashing water on the carpet below… So would I come back here? Sure! It’s a nice property and very convenient to the airport. But I hope they change the carpets to get rid of the smell…

“Great for Sky Harbour and to start or finish Arizona adventures”

Great service from Rick the shuttle driver who picked us up from the airport, and from Barnabas who checked us in. Great location for exploring Arizona. Room spotless. Complimentary coffee was excellent, going to try the breakfast in a bit. Would stay here again based on this experience.

Wonderful service, convenient shuttle, and thoughtful front desk staff. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and Suites, Phoenix Airport North after a late night arrival from the East Coast. I reached out via email to the front desk to make sure the shuttle would still be running. Received a lovely email with directions on how to get the shuttle to pick us up and when I called upon arrival, was greeted with a friendly staff member on the phone and a sociable shuttle driver. The room was well laid out with the bathroom separating the living room (with fold down bed) and the bedroom with two queen beds. The nightlight in the bathroom was a nice touch since I was traveling with children who sometimes need to get up in the middle of night. Breakfast the next morning was delicious (I selected to include it in my room rate) with a great selection of fruit, bacon, and some eggs. The waitress inquired if we would like some juice and brought some. We took an early morning swim in the pool prior to returning to the airport to pick up our rental car (who wants to deal with a rental car desk after a cross country flight in the middle of the night?). The pool was nicely located and had a hot tub. Check out was a breeze. But the best example of how lovely the staff is, 5 days later my daughter told me she left her watch at the pool. I called the hotel and they had it at the front desk and we swung by before going back to the airport for our return flight. This watch was not particularly expensive but she loves it and it was so nice that they kept it. I have once or twice left things in my hotel rooms and when calling the front desk, no one can find them. This watch was left at the pool and was still able to be recovered.
