The Hampton Inn has never failed to impress. Our "check in" was a breeze and the motel accommodated our early arrival. The room was excellent (minor issue with the refrigerator) clean and climate controlled. Wonderful beds and great night sleep. Breakfast, the next morning, delicious and hot. Staff cordial and accommodating.

“Cold Night Good Stay”

We enjoyed a nice room at this nice hotel. What a nice staff and decent breakfast. The bed was good and heat worked fine on this chilly night. The room upgrade was nice and the Diamond parking close. The lobby was nicely appointed and the morning papers were free.

We had booked for 4 nights through Saturday after Thanksgiving. We had room 334 on the Highway 17 side. Although all staff were quite friendly and pleasant, the desk clerk did not acknowledge my Hilton membership. The room had no real drawers, only three wire pull-outs in the console on which the TV sat and in which the Microwave and mini fridge resided. Nothing smaller than a wallet could be kept in those baskets. There was a very good number of USB ports for charging phones, laptops and other electronics. Internet speed was quite slow, at about 5 Mbps down and 4.5 up. I measured it several times while we were there. In addition, a note in the bathroom stated rooms would be cleaned only every other day, which meant ours was done only one time, Thanksgiving day. On the other hand, the shower, a walk-in, was quite good and the whole bathroom was well lit. The toilet, though, was low. Sink water pressure could have been better. There was way too much light in the room itself after we went to bed. In fact, the "blind" over the window was very thin and allowed light from the parking lot into the room all night long. At least the room was quiet, there being very little noise from the highway after about 10:00 p.m. Finally, breakfast: At last! Perhaps someone has been reading my reviews or maybe this Hampton Inn didn't get the message: There was a choice of brown hot water they called coffee and their robust brew which isn't too bad. The robust was popular in the morning, as it frequently went empty. Breakfast consisted of whatever frozen omelet was available to be heated and that frequently was burned at the edges, some sort of meat, the usual waffle-maker, juices, some unusual pastries and only two flavors of yogurt, the same two each of the 4 mornings we were there. To my wife's displeasure there was none of their usual oatmeal, grits taking its place each morning.
