I stayed here four or five times for as long as two weeks at a time during the summer. In one of its King Suites. Pasadena Travel Lodge Isn't fancy, the decor could easily use some updating, but it's clean, fairly priced and comfortable enough. There are no breakfasts, nor free food of any kind, but it is walking distance to quite a few good eating places. I found the Pasadena Travel Lodge a really good quality location for the price. While the decor is very basic at the Pasadena Travel Lodge, they keep it very clean. I didn't see or experience any type of bugs. The rooms didn't smell which is always a good thing. The air conditioners which are also the heaters worked really well. I had a somewhat firm King bed and it was reasonably comfortable, with clean sheets and blanket. The small separated living room of my suite had a two person couch, a work/eating desk with USB ports in the desk lamp, a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker, sink with counter and door to the bedroom and restroom. The living-room and bedroom had their own air conditioner/heater units. The one in the bedroom couldn't be set to auto shutoff. During my first stay, the mini-refrigerator was dead upon arrival. In the morning when I reported the issue, the manager had a replacement brought within 15 minutes. While the bed seemed a bit firmer than I prefer, it was fine. There were two shorter pillows and one longer pillows which were not as comfortable as I prefer, so I brought in two pillows I keep in my car while traveling, which are a higher quality and comfort. There is a guest washer and dryer on the third floor, the second floors is used by their cleaning crew. Of all the places I stayed across the USA, this was one of the places where doing laundry is at a fair price. The room I was in was very quiet between dark till around 6AM, with the exception of when there was a guest in the room above mine, I could hear every step they took. I liked that I could open the windows. The windows in the bedroom and the living room were big and provided a lot of natural light and fresh air. The only TV was wall mounted in the bedroom. The toilet and shower/tub was across from the sink in its own room with its own door. It was very basic, not modern, but served its purpose. Toiletries were two small packets of soap and two small tubes of shampoo. (Bring your own conditioner). The staff were very responsive and accommodating whenever I needed toilet paper, cups or swap dirty towels for clean ones. Similar to every hotel and motel I have stayed in while traveling for five months, room cleaning is available by request. The manager at the time of my review spoke English, Mandarin Chinese and Cambodian. The cleaning crew spoke English and Mandarin Chinese. The office staff spoke English and Chinese, and one spoke English and Spanish. I did not observe any homeless or loiters on the premises. The guest WIFI was excellent, fast enough to stream movies on my laptop and work on my A.I. Art. The property is well lit, the parking is well lit and has 24-hour video recording, there are emergency lights the come on during a power-outage. There are snack vending machines, an ATM machine and Ice Machine on premises. Within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance is Vons Grocery, Walgreens Pharmacy, Pasadena City College, Taco Bell, In-In-Out, Tops Burger, Domino's Pizza, Rosarita Mexican Food, a popular Gamers Store, Yoshinoya, Carl's Jr., Jack In The Box, El Pollo Loco, Chipotle, Fat Burger, Metro Trains. The Metro A-line (formerly called the Gold Line) is about a 8 min walk from this motel. I recommend keeping your door latch closed anytime you are in your room. I brought in personal security cam I picked up at nearby Home Depot for when I was out of the room. During each of my stays, an employee attempter to enter my room without warning. First was a maintenance worker who swung the door open while I was sitting and eating. He and two other people quickly walked right into the room. Second time a cleaning person walked right in, saw me working in the living room and quickly left without saying anything. Third time a cleaning person tried to open the door but only got in as far as the latch permits. Last and most recent visit, a maintenance person threw open the door and jammed the latch and door open while I was in the mini-livingroom. It took a few minutes to free the day. He insistently said he was supposed to do some work in the room. I just looked at him without letting him or his partner enter. Then after several minutes of trying to convince me to let them in, he looked at a clipboard, turned and walked away. I shut the door to fix the latch and when I looked out again they were no where to be seen. On that note, at various times of the day when people were out of there rooms, I saw a particular front desk employee suddenly come out of a room, see me, pause like he was surprised and then tell me different reasons why he was in a room. I never asked or questioned him. Which made it seem very suspicious. That is what led me to buy and start using a personal portable security camera for the rest of my time at this location and now at other hotels and motels, since I've been working in my room on legal documents. I never captured any video of anyone entering my room while I was away.

I spent 2 Nights in this Hotel and i was very satiesfied . A friendly welcome , friendly Staff and a nice Room with a good Bed . Parking next to the Hotel and not noisy at all . It is locatet on the Mainroad , they are plenty of Coffee Shops and Restaurants and Shops . A good value for the Money , … more
