“Boring, Ugly But Centrally Located”

Well, if you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is not the place for you. Yes, guests at Quality Inn Palm Springs Downtown have highlighted that: Well, if you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is not the place for you. Palm Springs lodging is pretty pricey anyway, and the reason this property sells for less will be obvious on your arrival. First, the grounds are abysmal. The parking area and corridors are dirty with wall dents and cracks in the pavement. Sometimes the elevator works; but not all vending machines do. Exercise room is closed off and there was no continental breakfast. Housekeeping only operates for those staying longer than 3 nights. Also, no microwave nor mini-fridge. And someone is putting up a complex adjacent, so there's lots of daytime construction noise. So if you're on a strict budget take your chances here. There are a couple of restaurants sharing the property and Italian cuisine is just across the street. Better yet, there's a discount grocer next to the Italian where maybe you can buy a box of cereal, some bananas, and a small jug of milk substitute for breakfast. The walk to the heart of the town is only 3-4 minutes. So the location works well, especially if you arrive sans transportation. The pool and hot tub were open and some guests were taking advantage. Still, I wouldn't stay here again. That's just my take.
