First time to stay at this hotel/resort. It was fantastic. We were in room F660, and looked directly out to the ocean. The room was spacious and comfortable. We ate in the OX & Ocean for breakfast and dinner. We had room service the night we arrived. Food was delivered in 30 minutes and HOT, Prices were reasonable. Valet service was quick. Michelle, Michelle and all other staff were very pleasant. I am 75 yrs old and getting tired of the long flights to Kauai. I told my daughter no more, My replacement is this Hotel/Resort. After 3 days I didn't want to leave. We live in Oakley, CA six hours away. The hotel has a nice coastal vibs and the fire pit is great for making smores. next time we will spend a week and go exploring in Oxnard. It smells as beautiful as my fav Casino in Vegas.

There are some great things about this hotel, but in other areas it falls short. We came for a family wedding, spent two nights, and had a great time. We reserved two rooms and paid additional to upgrade prior to arrival. I'm glad we did. Some of the rooms we looked at that other guests received were dark and without a view of any sort. Some Pros: Excellent front desk service. Michelle at the front desk was extremely attentive and helpful. Any good hotel experience begins at the front desk. Thank you! We had breakfast at the restaurant both days and the service and food was very good. The location is amazing! There is a beautiful pool area, lovely fire pits, a nice bar, and the hotel is located right on the beach. Some Cons: While we loved the view from our deck, other areas of the room were disappointing. The sofa and linens were tired and worn. One pillowcase had a hole in it. Blankets for the pull out bed were rough and looked ancient. They were very, very used. The sofa itself was dingy and pilling. The comforter on the kingsize bed felt like paper. Some areas of the hallway smelled like a sewer. I requested fresh towels for our second night and never received them. The resort fee, parking fee, and room expense combined are simply too high to justify ragged linens and a smelly hallway. If Hilton wants to remain competitive, they are going to have to do better!
