“A great hotel except for the “sleep in” part.”

The only issue is the “deposit” and the “sleep in” part. Otherwise, A decent bed, furniture a bit on the cheaper end, but a great refrigerator. Cheerful management and our room was serviced every day when five star hotels won’t do it. The AC works great and doesn’t make a racket. However, the carpet covers a very warped wooden floor that creaks loudly when I walk on it—and when the person above me walks on it. No “sleeping in” or need for an alarm clock. And breakfast on weekends end at 9 am—again no sleeping in. And I don’t like an additional $50 being charged to my credit card in addition to the room charge as a “deposit!” One would think a platinum member could be trusted. The deposit did get credited back a few days later.

This was our third stay. Though I requested a quiet room on the top floor, they put us on a lower floor next to the elevator and ice machine! When we complained, they apologized and said they've annotated our account so it won't happen again. The breakfast was good, but on this visit they were out of the eggs and sausage for a long time, and no employee was to be found in the breakfast area. So we asked at the front desk, hoping she would find or page the breakfast employee. Instead, the front-desk employee said "that's not my job". Well, we KNOW it's not your job--but it's also not our job to go exploring the hotel looking for your coworker! It seems Sleep Inn isn't paying their staff enough, because we witnessed not only family members of staff eating the free breakfast (which is perhaps a perq--I know that free breakfast for employees is definitely a legit perq), but also staff family members taking supplies such as TP home. Sure, it's easy to knee-jerk blame the employee, but c'mon, when that's happening, they can't be getting paid enough.

“Weed Smells, Lots of Noise From Upstairs”

We just got here, and the best part so far is the check in. The desk clerk has the best personality! Upon walking around the corner to my room I was hit with the strong smell of weed. I’m not against people doing it I just don’t want it hitting me in my face where I’m going to sleep. Also you can hear everything from upstairs. I’m not in the best health right now, so praying that I’m able to rest well the next two days. I will edit this after I leave if the stay turned out to be good.
