“Amazing view and location”

The view and the location are both outstanding. We stayed in an oceanfront 1-bedroom on the 3rd floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is literally right there. There are stores and restaurants a short walk away. It's also a quick drive to many other fun activities in San Diego. The only negative is the pull-out couch in the living room isn't the most comfortable, but that's true of most pull-out couches. If you're going to use the pull-out couch and have room in your luggage, maybe pack a mattress topper to add a little extra cushioning.

Southern CA Beach Club is bar none the best long-time local condo rental place on The Strand with panoramic views of the white water surf, the pier, and the Oceanside Beach. They provide well-appointed, comfortably furnished condos with full kitchens and all the amenities of home away from home. They have elevators and luggage carts which make it very elder friendly and convenient. Their staff is warm, welcoming, EXTREMELY helpful and VERY friendly. They go out of their way to make their guests feel like family and owners feel like they really own their home away from home. We witnessed one of their staff member coming down to help an elderly lady traveling alone to unload her luggage and get it to her condo, something we have not seen at other timeshare/condo rental units where we have stayed. Then overheard them ask if there was any other way they could help her to get settled. We like the fact that there is a filtered hot and cold water machine on the floor where we stayed, so we no longer have to haul drinking water by the gallons to our unit for a week's stay. The ice machine is right there, as well. They offer free bikes to check out, beach chairs, umbrellas, and all the extras for the beach like beach towels, etc. So we do not need to haul all that with us either. We loved So. Cal. Beach Club so much that we decided to purchase another week's stay within 3 weeks of our first stay, and have decided to sell our other timeshare down the street. We can't say enough about how much we love So. Cal. Beach Club and their 24/7 amazing staff! From the General Manager, Sean Herriott, who sets the tone of outstanding service and caring for guests' needs to Nicole, front desk agent and room/house attendant to Gabby, their newest housekeeping lady, all their staff is truly wonderful!

I just returned from a week’s stay at this resort. The staff were more than exceptional! They went above and beyond expectations to deliver stellar service. The resort location is perfect, and ocean views are mesmerizing. The unit was comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The use of beach chairs and bicycles was an added treat. “Nice older property worth seeking out”

Our one-bedroom unit was on the third-floor behind the row of rooms that faced the ocean. As it was a corner room, there was a glimpse of the ocean and the pier and a linear park to be seen from that one window. Location was excellent. Gated parking garage space is assigned upon check-in. The kitchen had everything we needed and, in general, the room was well-maintained. There is a laundry room on the garage level. There is a loading zone in front of the Beach Club for checking in. The Beach Club sits above the Strand and it is one-way. It takes a little effort to circle the block and make your way down to the lower Strand level for parking garage access. The linear park just below our window was a favorite spot for homeless people to sleep at night and hang out during the day. While we were there, a small wedding was in progress. As it was quite chilly during March, we did not go into the water but there were so many things to see and do in Oceanside that we did not miss it. Our week went by with very few hiccups and we would stay there again. The "Resort Fee" is quite steep and whatever amenities there were, we did not take advantage of them. There were bikes and some beach items available but the daily resort fee really is excessive. Owners do not pay that fee. Timeshare exchangers and others do.
