Where do I begin... in route to the resort it was difficult to find. We called to get clear directions. The response we got from the staff was "that's not our property!" We kept driving. We were still not able to find the resort according to our GPS. I called the office again. I spoke with Dee and she informed me that they were closing at 6:00 pm. It was 5:30 pm. I panicked because it was dark and we were in unfamiliar territory. She gave me a code to enter a box outside of the office to retrieve keys. I felt no concern for our safety. We got information from a station and the individual put us on the right track After finally arriving about 7:30 PM, someone had to help us get the keys out of the box and also find our unit. It was extremely dark and we couldn't see the numbers to the units. A couple helped us find our unit. The doors were not clearly marked A or B. After struggling with trying to find the right door, we opened the door and trying to find out which door it was. I called for assistance and was greeted with an impatient person on the other end.We were told we would have to pay for the lock smith if she called him. So we kept trying. We finally got in the unit. When we pushed the door open the door hit the bed. and the unit was not very tidy. After traveling and getting lost I was already in a state of frustration; then to see the condition of the unit I was angry. The next morning I went to the office to share my Concerns. Lois and Dee were there to greet me. I expressed my concerns about the unit and that due to health issues could they place us in a first floor unit. Lois said she would try because they were booked up. I Waited for a while and didn't hear from the office so I call Resort Vacations Certificates. Unfortunately I do not remember the persons name but she took care of me. She called Club Ocean to insure the change request for me. She encouraged me to call back if nothing happened. By 3:30 pm, Saturday October 19, 2024, Lois called to say they found a unit for us. She came over personally and moved us to a downstairs unit that looked presentable for someone to live in. The rest of the vacation went well. Thank you Lois at Club Ocean and the supervisor at Resort Vacation Certificates for making things right and for making our vacation one to remember.
