This was my first time in Honolulu, so wasn’t sure where to stay. I chose this hotel based on the location, good reviews and the Hilton brand. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the island. I called ahead of my arrival to request a room with a view, if possible, given that it was my first trip to Hawaii. While I did have to wait a bit upon check in, the room did not disappoint, as it was a corner room with a great view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Bay. Both the living area and bedroom are spacious and each room has a large screen TV, as well as a surprise TV in the bathroom. The kitchen has a fridge (with ice maker), microwave and a variety of plates, cups and utensils. This was perfect for morning breakfasts at the small table and chairs provided. The bed was quite comfortable, the AC worked well and there were multiple lighting options in each room. The bathroom was large, with dual sinks, a great shower, separate tub and two closets. The only slight downside is a balcony that is too small to sit out on, but again the view made up for it. The front desk staff were very helpful with every request and any time I called housekeeping they responded quickly. The valet parking, while expensive, had prompt service and friendly attendants. The rooftop pool is small, so I wasn’t there a lot, but I spent a couple of late afternoons there sitting in the shade to have a drink and it was a pleasant spot. I thought the location was perfect for a first-time visitor, as the main street of Waikiki is right outside with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Yes, that comes with some late-night noise, but I didn’t find it difficult to sleep. It is also a couple blocks from a small beach or about a 10-minute walk to the main Waikiki beach area. I have stayed in many HGV properties and I have to say this location would be right at the top of my list. I hope to be back.

“Top notch accommodation, centrally located”

My wife and I booked over thanksgiving and stayed for 6 nights in the 1 bedroom with a king sized bed. Lots of amazing shops nearby. Very upscale part of Waikiki. My wife and I booked over thanksgiving and stayed for 6 nights in the 1 bedroom with a king sized bed. Lots of amazing shops nearby. Very upscale part of Waikiki. The room itself is full of high end finishes. Even though the room was quite modern it still felt homey. Staff was full of the “Aloha Spirit” and the bed was super comfy. The gym was a bit small, but there’s plenty of places to run outside. Every floor has laundry facilities (2 washers and dryers). The pillows were too mushy for my taste, but some people prefer super soft pillows, so, I’m awarding the Hokulani 5 ⭐️s.

“Exceptional stay”

The resort is well maintained and the staff went out of their way to welcome us and help in every way!! We were in walking distance to beach, shopping, restaurants and everything we needed. The only downfall is no ocean view

We enjoyed our stay at Hokulani Waikiki for a week in November. Its in good location, within 10 min walking distance to Waikiki beach and lots of restaurants around just outside the front doors. We used roof top dipping pool and hot tub and their cabanas few times throughout the week. Also enjoyed their Mai Tai hour and Ice cream social that was offered. Beware you are in the middle of downtown, where all the hustle and bustle is happening, so the nights are not quiet but resort is able to offer white noise machine if you need it. Small but full kitchen, and laundry facilities available on certain floors at no extra charge. Very nice staff, anything we needed we text and it was delivered within 15 min. I would stay here again.
