If you’re thinking about staying here DO IT. We stayed in 1204. It had two twin beach, a kitchen, shower and washer/dryer. It has beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony and an amazing view of Diamond Head from our front door. We were right by the elevators and steps from the beach. The condo and parking is very secure. The lower the last two number of the condo the better the ocean views are. The beach is a public beach and can get crowded but it’s still very beautiful.

I felt the need to write a review about our stay at Waikiki Shore upon reading so many negative reviews. I booked through Outrigger, which gave us use of their amenities, such as pool, gym and activities. Since they are just next door, it was not inconvenient to pop over to use the pool. We never had a problem finding loungers and the pool was never crowded. Our condo was on the 11th floor and I booked this specific unit upon seeing the photos. The room was clean, updated and included a kitchen with full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender and all of the dishware we needed. The large bathroom included a washer and dryer, closet with extra towels, shower with shampoo and conditioner. Out the front door of our condo was an amazing view of Diamond Head. Off the balcony was a wonderful view of the water toward Hilton Hawaiian Village. We sat on the balcony amazed at the beauty before us watching the ocean, boats, sunsets, surfers and people walking the shore. Were there cracked tiles on the floor? Yes, as well as peeling paint in spots. Did this take away from our wonderful time? Absolutely not. This condo is built on the beach in a moist tropical climate. Things settle and moisture causes paint to peel. The condo was clean, the dishes were clean and Outrigger was quick to address any questions or concerns we had. There were two operating elevators during our stay and we never waited long for one. The construction was still ongoing in the main lobby but we did not hear any noise nor did it bother us. We chose not to rent a car, but could walk most places in Waikiki and racked up about 15,000 steps per day. We took an uber to Pearl Harbor and booked a tour to North Shore. We also purchased a 4 days pass on the Waikiki trolley which was a delight. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, in fact I am already planning our next visit.

Let me just say that when we walked in we were wowed by the view. We stayed in apartment 902 which is a partial ocean view and positioned close to the beach. The apartment is well appointed with the regular apartment amenities. It’s a bit dated but perfectly comfortable for a family of 4 (2 teenagers sharing bedroom 2) The Lanai stretches the length of the apartment with ocean views to the southwest and across to Honolulu which is lovely at night. You can hear the waves on the beach below. The beds are comfy and bathrooms are spacious. Plenty of storage as well. My disappointment came when the ensuite sink wasn’t draining and I pulled the press plug out and found it to be black and mouldy. I found a layer of dust on window ledges, lamps, and picture frames. Skirtings, window frames and corners weren’t clean. This was a bit disappointing but overall we had a lovely stay here.
