Low key, not on water but also not on a busy road. Great staff, no frills but nearly perfect for my purposes (work). Major downside was Priceline said it had an amazing pool scene. NOT TRUE!!! Low key, not on water but also not on a busy road. Great staff, no frills but nearly perfect for my purposes (work). Major downside was Priceline said it had an amazing pool scene. NOT TRUE!!! Dated bathtub in room was almost as big. Priceline also said "continental brakfast" umh... one juice choice, coffee only during breakfast hours (0700-0900) and the breakfast: cereal, fruit cup (the kind out of a can in plastic cup) and toast. My stay would have been ranked higher if they had been truthful about pool, breakfast and 3 stars also implied that there was a fitness room. That said, co-workers stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and wished they had something lower-key, again, we were there for work. I would definitely stay again. Oh, was going to rent a car, decided to just go with Lyft/Taxis and that was a great decision! Driving in the area is a hassle, parking is worse and will cost at least $45/per day with tons of rules (as in valet only and a minimum of 30 minutes prior notice to get car). Again, amazing super friendly staff, quiet location a 3 min walk from the core of Waikiki. I stumbled on this due to Priceline "roll the dice" for 3 star in this area, the other options were literally 2 mins walk away and on busy street so in many cases I won. Advice, again: Give up on or improve breakfast, current is an embarrassment and don't oversell the pool unless you want to disappoint. GREAT STAFF! -Aaron

“Good hotel and location, GREAT staff. Hotel needs a facelift”

We had a good stay at the Oasis. It is extremely well located in downtown Waikiki amidst the hustle and bustle of Lewers Street. A short walk to the beaches and trolley stops. We had a good stay at the Oasis. It is extremely well located in downtown Waikiki amidst the hustle and bustle of Lewers Street. A short walk to the beaches and trolley stops. We had a suite on the 7th floor facing the backstreet. Good balcony but noisy on weekend days. The hotel is a bit tired looking and needs a bit of a facelift - but the staff was excellent and friendly at all times. After spending 8 nights at this hotel, we appreciated the costs and location. My ONLY real compliant is the continental breakfast. It is a little light in the amount and quality of breakfast foods - a combination of cereal, bread/toast, some sweets and coffee. At the very least I wish that they would have coffee available throughout the day. Rooms were clean with fresh linen - but the beds not too comfortable (very hard, with stone pillows). Overall, a good stay (3+/5)
