This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel in 7 years. It won't be 7 years again. This stay was enjoyable and that has a lot to do with the staff. My family arrived early in the morning and we were able to store our luggage until we came back later that night. Jessie at the front desk is amazing. Friendly and so helpful! When storing our bags, we were offered coffee, tea and hot chocolate on the cold morning. The location of this hotel is awesome. A short walk from the train station, Madison Square Garden, the Empire State Building and Times Square. The rooms are not large, but my family of 4 were able to navigate this easily. Elevators were not a long wait at all, the beds were comfortable, as always, the room was clean and the bathroom looked like it had been refreshed recently. We felt safe walking the area around the hotel at night and during the day. The hotel was quiet at night and we all slept well. We did not have breakfast as we had an early morning engagement, but the area looked small and would think it fills up quickly. In the morning, we stored our bags again for our late afternoon train ride home. This was truly an enjoyable stay and I look forward to returning again as this is the first place I will look.

“Great people running a solid property”

Normally when coming to NYC for business, I wouldn't consider a Hampton Inn however pricing & availability for this week found me at the Hampton Inn near MSG. Normally when coming to NYC for business, I wouldn't consider a Hampton Inn however pricing & availability for this week found me at the Hampton Inn near MSG. And I have to say- I will definitely return. Room was clean, comfortable and stocked with what I needed- on par with much pricier brands. Bed was comfy, shower was hot and wifi was able to handle streaming and web meetings without any issue. I was on a lower floor and worried about potential noise but there really wasn't any. As a gold member, I not only had 2 bottles of water in the room waiting for me but got to choose 2 snacks as well- a simple but meaningful amenity that other brands seem to have forgotten about. I also appreciated the mid-stay check-ins to see how things were going. And of course, the location really can't be beat, especially when arriving by train. I can't rate the breakfast, gym or parking as I did not use any of those things. But I can tell you that it was the people running the hotel that made the difference. When my plans changed suddenly this week, they helped me to adjust my stay and then also checked to see if they could help in any other way. Thank you to Jessie & Marlyn in particular for your empathy, kindness and just being good humans. I'll look forward to proactively choosing this property in the future.

My family of three stayed here for (what was supposed to be) three nights (but ended up being two because of a delayed flight.) The room was small and definitely could use some updates/replacements, but it was great for us. We simply needed a place to sleep, and this was fine. Our bags were lost for nearly our entire trip, but the room is very small, so I'm not sure we would've had room for them if we had had them. Each agent at the front desk was always so welcoming and friendly. We took our 12-year-old son to a concert at Madison Square Garden, and we felt safe walking back to the hotel late. We walked to everywhere in Midtown and took the subway to lower Manhattan and Central Park. The location was great. The hotel stored our luggage when we checked out so we could explore until our late flight. They also found the watch my son left and are sending it back to us. Overall, the service is superb; the hotel is an affordable and safe place to sleep. I would stay here again, especially if I were going to an event at MSG.
