“Pleasant visit during a busy time”

Enjoyed our first stay at this Hampton Inn. Our stay coincided with the annual New York bike ride and although we were not participating in the event, most of our fellow guests were riding. “It was OK”

The hotel was OK Very small rooms which were a little dated. The shower had awful pressure - took me ages to wash my hair. The air conditioning / heater is really loud and the windows are single glazed so not a peaceful stay. We were never told if you want your room cleaned you have to ask! I onl… more

The hotel was OK Very small rooms which were a little dated. The shower had awful pressure - took me ages to wash my hair. The air conditioning / heater is really loud and the windows are single glazed so not a peaceful stay. We were never told if you want your room cleaned you have to ask! I only heard someone else being told this. That was a shame! I can see what people mean about the breakfast room, it is small but has a nice selection - no issues. We had an issue on the last night - our heating broke and they didn’t offer us a new room and were unable to fix it. We kept calling down for an engineer but were told they would be with us in a minute 90 minute later. Our window didn’t close fully so we were really cold. I wouldn’t rate the hotel really

Basic hotel with no frills. Rooms sizes are what you would expect in New York City tho they were bigger than the Courtyard nearby The hotel is to the other side of the HGI property but does not come with the same views. Basic hotel with no frills. Rooms sizes are what you would expect in New York City tho they were bigger than the Courtyard nearby The hotel is to the other side of the HGI property but does not come with the same views. Convenient location to SIF, and the subway lines. Walking distance to south street seaport area and 9/11 memorial I was on the 6th floor in a room next to the mechanical room so I kept hearing this noise that sounded like a clothes dryer. There was also a rumble that would turn on every so often. However with the AC going , none of it disturbed my sleep. Breakfast was basic - lacked a good fruit offering. One day had omelets, the other just had scrambled eggs. There is a market a block away that offered hot and cold foods , snacks, drink etc that was really convenient There was a safe but no microwave or refrigerator in the room. There was also a lack of hooks in the bathroom. I would probably stay here again for a short work trip if needed, but would prefer the HGI property next door instead.
