This hotel was a dream! Perfect for our first visit to NY. We will definitely return. The front desk very friendly ; the concierge were both very helpful. On site restaurant was excellent. Rooftop bar very fun. Location in Theater district and right by subway station was ideal. And the bed was super comfortable.

“Adequate”

It’s ok. It was in the neighborhood I wanted to be in for work. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were adequate. Not all that nice but not bad. Relatively small rooms, like most NYC hotels. Furnishings were adequate. Not great but sufficient. Price was high. It is certainly n… more

It’s ok. It was in the neighborhood I wanted to be in for work. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were adequate. Not all that nice but not bad. Relatively small rooms, like most NYC hotels. Furnishings were adequate. Not great but sufficient. Price was high. It is certainly not a destination hotel in my view. But it’s certainly OK if you want to be in that neighborhood.

“Felt like an apartment building and not so much like a hotel.”

I just decided to go to NY the day before I went. The location suited me- close to Central Park my museums - the Met snd American Museum of Natural History. I walked to each through the park compltely enjoying my days. There were great resturant choices in the area one block over on 8th Ave was a Thai place Inlove, but my first night I went to the soup place featured in the Sienfeld sitcom. Shopping is also super close. I’m now inlove with Nordstrom’s. The hotel is old but my room was super comfortable fr me. There were lots of signs about hiw you be be fined for smoking on the property yet the smell of marijuana was so strong in the elevators and on my floor. I don’t know ho was smoking so much. The cleaner used so much bleach in my room the first day that it was difficult to breathe. She must have spilled it or put it down the drain. I had to keep my windows cracked open. Yes. The windowsopened. Luckily I remembered that the pigeons had been bumping into the glass! Why was this lucky? Well it meant I didn’t open the window high enough for then to get inside. I didn’t risk having the same experience again and didn’t have maid service for the remainder of the trip. The roof bar and the bar onthe ground ffoor are both concessions. I enjoyed the atmosphere of each and the offerings there. This felt more like living in an apartment building than being in a hotel. This suited me fine but might be a disappointment for others.
